My children and grandchildren, husband and I stayed at Posada Real over Christmas and New Years. It was truly wonderful and magical..... the property is dated, (but clean and convenient); however, the service, location, and energy brought by staff were awesome. We first arrived and had rooms downstairs. Our first night was a nightmare. We thought oh no!!!! The air... More

Posada Real is not an elegant hotel, but the front desk staff, restaurant, pool area, and lobby make it a great place to stay! A full breakfast is included, the pool is perfect, the beach is a one minute walk out your door to the water. Security keeps out those who are not registered guests, which is nice. I would... More

Posada Real Ixtapa has seen better days. The rooms are a bit worn down and dated. But, for the price and the location, this was a great hotel for my boyfriend and me. We only spent late evenings in the room - you're in paradise, don't forget, you should be outside! It is a small hotel compared to most others... More

On arrival at about 9pm, we got our room which smelled like horse pee the moment u entered. Because this was my first time and first day in Mexico I really wanted to be more positive so I didn't complain about the smell. Everyday it stunk and I believe it came from prior guests peeing in the shower and it... More

We went there on the 8 of November to the 15th 2014. My Girkfriend n I got sick, as did a few other people! Bathroom every 15 minuets. Had to cancel our execution to Ixtapa Island. My girlfriend much more sicker than I. The hotel even paid for a doctor come in to see her. Gave prescription which helped tea... More

My husband and I were there a while back and this was a very lovely place. It is not as big and loud as the other properties. A more relaxed and quiet place. The hotel is simple and clean and the palapos on the beach are great. The food was good and the service very professional and pleasing. We loved... More

Simple but decent. Good value for the price. Good location, great view from pool. Clean room, drinks were included but just average. Would recommend to traveling surfers looking for a decent place to crash on town. Local feel even though the hotel is a quasi-resort.

My husband and I visited April 5 - 12 and had a wonderful time. The hotel is one of the older properties but it is kept up well and very clean. The service is excellent and everyone is very friendly. The food and drinks are delicious. It's right in the middle of the long stretch of beach so it's an... More

I will not return to this hotel. Food was bad - very limited, salty, and unhygienic. Room appliances kept breaking, sunbeds had bird poop on them, not nearly enough sun umbrellas, bitten by ants around the pool, very limited wifi, wait staff so-so. Very disappointed!

This was our second stay at this hotel and probably not our last. I wondered about the "almost all-inclusive" but found it did not include free drinks after 10:30, water sports, evening entertainment - all of which we don't use anyway. The one thing we missed was free bottled water but we had our water bottles from home which we... More
