I am no stranger to Club Med however this was by far, the worst experience ever! Had to change rooms three times on the first day! One room the bespreads were wet with what I do not want to know. The only way you could tell the GO's from the guests were by their shirts. The entire staff was nasty... More

Our visit was Jan 20-27. It was amazing. Beautiful property, good food, kids clubs were great, G.O.s were friendly, Hammer (who runs the property) and his wife Julie (and his mother!) were very friendly and open, gracious people. My kids are ages 2, 4 and 6. It's late March and they still haven't stopped taking about it. My only regret... More

Overall the experience was good. This is an older property, so the marble tile and clean finish is not at this place. They are closing for renovations from April 15th to November. These reno's are needed. The toilet is seperated by the washroom sink and the shower. Both are really small. As far as the bird problem in the dining... More

This is not our first time traveling to a Club Med. My Family and I, two Adults, two teens and one 21 year old handicapped boy went to Club Med Ixtapa and were not impressed. There were a lot of little children running around, which makes sense, as it mentions that this resort is a family resort, I just wanted... More

I have been to this Club Med twice. Once with friends and no kids, again with family and my nieces, 2 and 4 years old. The kids club was great for them and we got a chance to relax. The rooms are clean and comfortable, but not luxurious by any means. I have found that at Club Med, you spend... More

Please understand that I have never written a review in my life, but this 8 day trip to hell requires formal documentation. What a dump! We switched hotel rooms 3 times the first day and could not find a room that rated better than a tent. The bathrooms are ancient, cruddy and crumbling. I killed no less than 5 very... More

Had okay stay at Club Med Ixtapa. Staff enthusiastic and helpful. Safe with a variety of activities constantly available. Rooms clean, but spartan and older (due for renovations April 2007). Beautiful beach, but surf a bit rough for those with younger children. Snorkeling only on trips due to surf. Would advise people without children not to go here if they... More

CLUB MED IN GENERAL Our experience is that people either love Club Med (any location) or hate it. We have chosen Club Med vacations for over 20 years, so please understand that we are biased that way! In our experience folks will love it who value sporting activities (tennis, archery, snorkeling, sailing, etc.), child care, and quality buffet style food.... More

This was one of the best vacations I have taken. This resort is best for active families with children. The staff or GOs as they call themselves (gentle organizers) will keep you busy all day long, and your kids too. The accomodations are far from the best. The rooms were very small, almost too small. (That is a common thing... More

Spent Christmas week at Club Med in Ixtapa (Dec 23-30) with a large extended family group. All from kids to grandparents really enjoyed the experience and would love to return. Pros: 1. G.O.s are awesome with the kids. Around a 100 of them for the 800 guests. First time our kids have wanted to go to a resort kids program.... More
