My wife and I met up with our two adult sons at Las Brisas for a week in February/March. We were in a room on the bottom floor, closest to the beach elevator & stairs; they were about half way up, so had a bigger view from their room. Because we made the bookings for both rooms, and they arrived... More

First off, I have to say, I feel let down by the posts on the forum. I have been using Tripadvisor for all our trips to get accurate accounts of hotels, locations, etc but I have to say, this time the forum was just plain WRONG! This hotel is by no means a 5 star hotel (I wouldn’t even give... More

Just got back from a stay at Las Brisas, 24 - 31 March 2006. We stayed as All-Inclusive residents. We had an exceptional time. Our experience was like most we read on tripadvisor before we left. Facilities overall: This is a big place. It covers 35 acres of land starting on top of a large hill. The hotel's lobby area... More

For me, a big part of the charm of going to Mexico in the first place is the "funkiness factor" that you find at many of the hotels. And that's a good thing. As expected, Las Brisas is funky -- in a good way! If you don't love the large, open air check in area (walls peppered with geckos), the... More

After five stays at the Barcelo and one at the Emporio, we booked the Las Brisas for the 19th thru 26th of March 2006. It is quite different from our previous visits to the Hotel Zone properties in Ixtapa. Arriving rather late, we went to the Lobby bar for a drink. My strawberry margarita was served in a paper cup... Our stay at Las Brisas was great. When we arrived our check in was quick and we were greeted by friendly staff. We did have a problem with our room safe. The lock and key was missing (not all safes at this place have the electronic key pads). We reported it to the front desk, and within one minute, someone... More

My husband and I planned this trip very quickly, actually in one week, we paid too much for our vacation! We are a younger couple, and everyone at the resort was at least over 50! The room was disgusting, the floor in our room was so sticky there were flies stuck to it, in certain areas. I had to lay... More

I and my Wife stayed at Las Brisas Ixtapa for 7 days and it was a great relaxing vacation, The patio with the hammock and the lounge chair was much bigger than we expected, the views were great. The pools are much bigger and nicer than the pictures show. The beach is not rocky and is long, and is the... More

Our family had just been through a tough time a Club Med Ixtapa (see review) and opted to leave for the Las Brisas and stayed three nights. We had booked a standard room but upgraded to the deluxe room. When we opened our balcony we were treated to not only a beautiful ocean view, but a splash pool. Aah! Just... More

My husband and I just returned from our wonderful stay at Las Brisas (March 3-10). We were enchanted with this resort. It was our 6th trip to Mexico, but first time in Ixtapa/Zihua. I hope we will return to this area in the future; However, due to the abnormally high food and beverage prices at Las Brisas, I think we... More
