A large group of us went to Cascina Cesarina over the summer, I cannot recommend it highly enough. The house itself is beautiful. The rooms are great - very clean but really have that rustic feel so it feels like a unique experience. The hosts were so welcoming - we really felt at home. Plus, Lorraine is a native English... Thank you for your kind words. It was great to have you here again, and to meet the new friends you introduced us to. Most of our guests are so busy touring the beautiful surroundings that they don't always take the time to relax and enjoy the pool, barbecue, basketball, ping pong... or relaxing in the hammocks and enjoying the... Family holiday to the Lakes, our first time to Lake Maggiore, a beautiful part of Italy with so much to offer. Our hosts Lorraine and Franco at Cascina Cesarina were absolutely lovely, Lorraine is multi-lingual which is so helpful to us Brits with no language skills! She will provide delicious, organic home produced meals if you wish or you have... More

Thank you for your kind words. I am glad you all had a great time - though I know you parents sometimes needed all your persuasion skills to get the children to abandon the dogs and the swimming pool to go touring! But I'm glad the weather was great throughout your stay, so you could get in swimming in the... More

English family with 2 boys. We stayed with Lorraine and Franco for 2 nights. They kindly cooked us lovely evening italian meals with warm and friendly discussions whilst entertaining our boys as well. The pool, garden and bonus basketball court are all ideal for kids and relaxing (after a long drive). The bedroom/en suite bathroom was clean and full of... More

Thank you for your kind words. I am glad you all enjoyed your stay with us - Italian dinners and English-style breakfasts are usually highly popular all round! The boys certainly found plenty to keep them busy between basketball, swimming and playing with the dogs! And that was without trying out the ping pong table, bowls.....etc! I am sorry you... More

Even though we had a short stay it was altogether wonderful: the location is beautiful - with the forest just at the door of the B&B - and with the swimming pool in it! The warmth of the owners, and therefore of the general atmosphere is very welcoming and put us at our ease immediately. An exemplary B&B.

Thank you for your kind words. You were also very pleasant guests - good practice for my French too! I am glad you enjoyed dinner with us, and discovering vegetables new to you, such as our 'spaghetti' or 'kilometre' green beans - I was especially proud of the outcome of my dessert experiment with forest fruits topped by three different-flavoured... I really enjoyed my stay at Casina Ceserina over the Summer, the house is beautiful, cosy and has a wonderful home-like feel. The host, Lorraine is very friendly and pointed out some fun things to visit in the area. I particularly enjoyed the train trip through the mountains to Locarno, Switzerland which ended with a wonderful three hour boat ride... More

Thank you for your very positive feedback. I am glad you enjoyed your time with us, and that my tip to go for the Lago Maggiore Express tour of the lake by scenic railway and boat has created a lasting memory - great for photography enthusiasts such as yourself, too. We hope you will return in future - you could... More

Norwegian family with 3 kids stayed for 3 nights in August. The kids enjoyed the pool, table tennis and the dogs, and they are still talking about Lorraines pasta! The food was great, and we all enjoyed the proximity to Laggio Maggiore. We really appreciated the meals together with the family, and would like to visit the place again!

Thank you for your kind words. We love having friendly and lively families such as yourselves to stay, and it is nice that you enjoyed all the facilities to the full: pool and swing, ping pong and basket ball hoop, and that the children enjoyed playing with the dogs and cats, who always appreciate younger visitors! Hope to see you... More

After some difficulty locating the house tucked away under an archway we were delighted to discover this enchanting family friendly B&B. Lorraine, Franco and Matteo were charming and generous hosts and our girls age 5 and 3 immediately fell in love with the dogs, cats and garden. In fact we had to drag them away to explore the stunning Lake... More

So glad you enjoyed your stay - and the weather proved you made a great choice - the summer season is getting longer and longer, and you really enjoyed seeing the Lakes with all the sunshine but less of the crowds! We stayed here for 10 days and loved it! We had some delicious home grown food made by Lorraine (the host) and also enjoyed trips to local pizzeria's and ice cream parlours. Cascina Cesarina is conveniently located less than 30 mins from Milan Malpensa airport. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. This year, in addition to our 'standard' tourist, here to visit the Italian Lakes (and enjoy some sunshine and good food), we have noticed an increase in British guests whose primary objective is 'chilling', enjoying everything Cascina Cesarina has to offer, interspersed with trips to the Borromeo Islands and the rest of Lake Maggiore,...
