I ate here with four friends in the evening last week. we started with main courses. I had a home-made beef burger with fries. It was delicious and cooked rare which was how I had ordered it. Another friend enjoyed sausage and mash and the other three had a starter as a main course which was a salad, with, I... More

I was introduced when I met a friend for dinner here - the food is fantastic - and was surprised to find they had rooms too. Since then I've stayed a couple of times on business in preference to the comfortable but charmless chain hotels nearby. It's a gastropub with top quality food and friendly service, but has managed to... More

I stayed here for work and it was lovely. The room was spacious and clean, the food in the restaurant lovely and the staff really helpful. I needed to be away before breakfast started and they got me some ready to take with me to the room to keep in the fridge for the next morning and not just Apple... More

Stayed for one night with a family group, we had three rooms which were all very comfortable and very well decorated. Tea and coffee was available and fresh milk, which was a lovely touch. There was a well stocked bathroom with nice sized towels. The water pressure is so good that the bath was filled in minutes! The evening meal... More

Stayed here for 1 night when we went to watch our sons passing out parade at Pirbright. Our room was lovely, clean and comfortable. There are tea/coffee making facilities with plenty of choice and a mini fresh bottle of milk in the fridge, also 2 bottles of water were provided. The bed was comfortable and we slept well, although the... More

We stayed here when we went to the races at windsor . I read all the trip advisor reviews which seemed to generally be good with some bad comments on service . But our experience was ALL good! The room was clean and nicely decorated .They had really nice touches like fresh milk in the fridge and the service was... More

A nice country pub with good rooms which makes a very relaxing stay. Although I didn't eat here the food looked very good and breakfast next morning was excellent. The only down side is it is a £20 taxi ride into Windsor, so a very nice quiet location but a little isolated. That said I would certainly return.

Popped into this beautiful country pub for the second time today and wont be popping in for a third time sadly. We arrived hoping to have lunch but on both occasions we received a very snooty and surly welcome from the staff on duty, especially from the blonde, more mature lady who could barely bring herself to speak. I assume... More

Stayed Saturday after a day at Henley Regatta, had a fantastic meal the food was extremely good, and the restaurant side is decorated lovely. What a marvellous find this little hotel/B&B turned out to be! We had a delightful bedroom, accompanied by our dog with excellent service and the food ... We shared a large platter which was excellent but when it came to the desserts, the Winning Post simply excelled! Hot Raspberry Souffle with white chocolate sauce and a Winning Post Eton Mess...
