I met up with a few friends back in October and we all decided that we needed a weekend break to relax and catch up. We searched the Internet for a cottage to hire for the month and we came across what looked to be a sweet, quiet and relaxing converted barn. We decided to book and give the place... More

We had a great weekend at Southwold barn. Great accommodation which housed 4 couples comfortably. Thanks to Emma for welcome brownies and being so understanding after I managed to drive over her lawn! Location was perfect - I would highly recommend Southwold Barn.

2 families stayed here for 3 days after Easter. The accomodation is very well laid out for this, with 2 good sized bedrooms and bathrooms on each floor. Children are all nearly 3 years old and they loved the garden full of chickens, Mack the Peacock (v tame!) and sheep with new lambs. Emma (owner) was happy to provide cots... More

Stayed with a group of friends for a uni reunion weekend - the barn fitted all 8 of us very comfortably, with 2 rooms and bathroom on the ground, and 2 rooms with en suite upstairs. Well decorated and equipped with tv, DVD, free view, games and books. Kitchen also nicely equipped with all necessary equipment plus a dishwasher. Owners... More

The barn was OK but not 5 star as advertised. Great location. Beware of chicken and peacock droppings! No internet.

I attended Southwold Barn for my hen weekend. We were greeted by the resident peacock and chickens. There was a bottle of wine and home made cake awaiting us as well as plenty of logs for the wood burner. The barn was decorated modernly but in keeping with the Cotswold feel, there was plenty of parking and wonderful walks without... More

A 4 bedroom (3 doubles and a twin) barn conversion with 2 ensuite bathrooms as well as a family bathroom. The barn is recently converted and in smart condition with beams and a wood burner to give plenty of character. The owners live next door and were very kind and friendly - even leaving us a home-baked cake and a... More
