The restaurant is typically Cornish, shabby shic but warm and inviting. The wine list is excellent with a wide range of prices and the food is excellent bistro style and good value for money. In addition the walk after lunch down to Gurnards point is awe inspiring!

Stayed at Gurnard's head on one of their winter sleep overs (dinner B&B). We had read that no-one does shabby chic better and we could not agree more. The room was large and the Vi-Spring bed was really comfortable. Only problem was that when one looked carefully dog hair could be found as all the rooms are dog friendly. Dinner... More

Having only found out about the venue, we took a drive the same day. Easily spotted from a distance, bright yellow, we entered the pub on a windy day. The staff are exceptionally friendly. The food is fantastic. We had three courses, but the one that stood out was the lemon sole with brown shrimp & butter with spinach and... More

Beautiful setting, pleasant staff and tasty, but slightly limited, food. I enjoyed a 3 course meal with drinks in the main bar area for just under £50. A decent selection of ales, wines with a very accomplished service. Would certainly recommend and visit again.

In the middle of no where....this fantastic inn offers cozy, nicely decorated rooms with comfortable beds. Loved the location, and taking our pre-dinner drinks on the terrace with the fantastic views. Great dinner to finish the day. Only one regret...not to have bought one of the paintings exhibited by the local artists. Thank you for the great stay!

Great food and a lovely feel to the place. Had a really nice lunch and can't wait to get back for a proper meal!! Interesting decor and well drilled staff. The setting is obviously very historical and the surrounding area is beautiful. Many thanks!

In the middle of nowhere, but obvious from miles around thanks to the bright yellow exterior, we had a fabulous stay here - a couple and 2 black labs - the dogs had their own towels and bowls - with biscuits provided too! The room was modern and bright with a comfy bed and lots of magazines and books, the... More

We had lunch here following the recommendation of a friend. Didn't really like the bright yellow and then seriously put off by the (lack of) welcome. "The food better be good" we thought. And it was! Faultless presentation, wonderful flavours ... Delightful. Staff need more training, woman behind the bar needs to cheer up. 5 star food, 3 star front... More

We stayed at the Gurnard's Head for one night whilst walking the coast path. The pub is pleasant enough, fairly charming though not quite what I was expecting from reviews or the website - it's a bit more rustic and rooms more shabby. Although the restaurant was busy and loud with lots of small children the food was good. Unfortunately... More
