Had a 2 day break here, was amazing value ,deal included 3 course dinner and full breakfast offer. Could only get a smaller room which wasn't huge but not an issue. Had a small en suite as well. No tv, no phone reception so pretty much guaranteed a quiet time! But that is part of the appeal. The food was... More

We came here on a Saturday night, stayed for the one night and had dinner, bed and breakfast. The first thing that stands out is the service. Greeted with a smile and made to feel welcome from the outset. A lovely venue that really is rustic, not just a replica of a country inn. We then had dinner, it was... More

We had a two night stay split between here and the Gurnards sister hotel the Old Coastguard in Mousehole, during first week of November. As soon as we drove up out of St Just towards Zennor even in the middle of a windswept autumn afternoon, the beauty of the moors was striking. We were greeted by the friendliest of staff,... More

The Gurnard's head has very comfortable bedrooms, a fine restaurant and a great bar - a real pub with a great dining room attached. Residents have a small seating area with comfortable sofas and tables and chairs away from the restaurant and bar. The nearby walking along the Cornish cliffs and to Zennor and back are as good cliff and... More

We haven't visited the Gurnard's Head for about 3 years, but found that the standard of food was as good as we remembered. Three faultless, fantastic courses with seasonal ingredients, relaxed and friendly atmosphere and really helpful staff. Well worth a visit.

Our son and his wife have visited The Gurnards Head on a couple of occasions and were very complementary about the food , ambiance and position. So we visited for lunch recently, we booked in the morning and got a lovely table at the side of the fire...perfect. The food was beautiful, I had Lemon Sole & my wife had... More

It was a good thing we had booked as the restaurant was extremely busy, nevertheless ,the staff were charming, and the food delicious. My traditional Sunday roast delicious,my husband's choice equally as good. Excellent value for money, small wonder the customers kept coming! We shall definitely eat there again on out next trip to Cornwall.

We visited the Gurnards head for food, on a friends recommendation during a trip to cornwall in the summer. We were welcomed by friendly staff and enjoyed a wonderful meal in the bar which has a nice atmosphere, feeling local - in a good way. It's a foodies dream with local produce used and great selection of wine (they cater... More

The restaurant is typically Cornish, shabby shic but warm and inviting. The wine list is excellent with a wide range of prices and the food is excellent bistro style and good value for money. In addition the walk after lunch down to Gurnards point is awe inspiring!

Stayed at Gurnard's head on one of their winter sleep overs (dinner B&B). We had read that no-one does shabby chic better and we could not agree more. The room was large and the Vi-Spring bed was really comfortable. Only problem was that when one looked carefully dog hair could be found as all the rooms are dog friendly. Dinner... More
