I have been going to the lovely Delfin for 20+ years and having just returned, am happy to say that the street noise is much less of a problem now that the karoake bar next door has permanently closed.( Frankly, if you can't stand a little noise you're in the wrong country to begin with.) Very average. Clean an friendly but beds are hard as boards, nioise both in and out make rest questionable. for comparable price could stay at many other places in and around there more

We chose this hotel based on positive reviews on this site, but were a little disappointed with the rooms. The atmosphere is nice for sure with the pool and roof patio and the breakfasts are great, but the rooms are quite basic (i.e. basic bedding, mediocre lighting, no sink plug, little other furniture, no place to leave bags, etc). We had planned on staying a week here, but moved after 2 days to a much better hotel for less money. Unless you insist on being right downtown, I recommend the El Marquez de Santana instead. In Sept. a little photo of "laguna + beach" brought me - invited to Mexico by a friend in Guadalajara - down to Barra. Alone arrived in the afternoon sun I asked someone for a clean little Hotel.... and I was advised "...to go to the Delfin ... there is a german owner".
