We booked this place for a get away. Its private, clean, but close to town via a 5 min boat ride to an old school rustic Mexican town. I can not say enough out how nice this place was. The grounds were impeccable and the staff was accommodating. There is a 27 hole golf course and lots of pools. We... more

The Grand Bay Hotel is phenominal. Set up in the hills, it is gloriously secluded and quiet. My family and I stayed here when we realized our first hotel in Barra was a dump. I am a woman of air conditioning and clean bathrooms. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the staff with fresh beverages and hot towels. The attention... more

We enjoyed our stay. It is a nice hotel. Loved being able to take the 2 minute boat ride to Barra. Fun and very good restaurants there. The hotel itself is nice, but could be updated. The main pool is large and nice, but very crowded. If you are with kids you will love it. But if you want quiet... more

WOW! Arriving at the hotel was great. After a long drive down an unassuming road, we were greated by name and offered refreshments while checking in. The room was well-appointed, clean and convenient to everything. Service here was excellent at every step. The concierge even had a doctor waiting for our son when we arrived! This resort offers everything for... more

Our extended family stayed at the Grand Bay for a week over Christmas. We had a really good time. The kids loved the pool, the hubbies loved the golf, and the moms' loved not having to cook! The kids took part in some of the kids' club activities and really had fun. There were a fair amount of kids there... more

Some friends were moored in the Grand Bay's Marina for the month so we were able to take advantage of the pool there...so lovely. The staff was so friendly, helpful and hard working. We met some wonderful people that were staying there as well and had a great time. They told us the rooms were nice as well. The resort... more

First of all, this is probably one of the nicest resorts I’ve ever stayed at. There was hardly anyone there, so we had pretty much free reign of the pool and the other amenities on the property. We were in room 212 which was right next to a small 4 foot deep swimming pool with a patio which no one... more

my husband and I stayed here in the "off" season, late September, just after a busy local holiday weekend. It was unbelievable. I think there were only 5 couples at the resort! From the instant we arrived, the staff was at our beckon call. Litterly 10 to 1! We were presented with iced hand towels soaked in anise spice, welcomed by... more

We just returned from our 5 night stay at the Grand Bay Hotel and we would like to have this hotel and staff at every location we visited!! We searched and investigated so many locations to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversery and we finally decided upon Manzanillo. We made a great choice. I had read reviews on the site but... more

I think the dilemna of everyone who goes to the Grand Bay is that one wants to tell everyone how amazing the place is, but one also wants to keep it a secret because it is off the radar screen, and we'd like to keep this hidden gem hidden forever. Wyndham does a perfectly terrible job of marketing this luxury... more
