From JJ's welcome to Lynn's farewell we were continually made to feel at home by these two very obliging hosts. We stayed here for three days and were very glad we chose this B&B/guesthouse. The lounge was a wonderful place to sit in front of the open fire, backed up with central heating. We even shared it on the first... More

The new owners are so passionate about the Abbey and when their vision for it is in place, it will be outstanding. Wonderful hosts, interesting & engaging with a strong desire to make you comfortable. Excellent room, lovely & quiet , with the biggest most snug & comfy bed you could imagine. Breakfast served at a lovely pace, not fussy... More

We were 2 nights here and loved our stay! The new owners (JJ and Lynn) looked after us so well. Really exciting hearing about this wonderful building which is a mix of quaint and historic but inviting and comfortable. The grounds are very pretty too. Lovely room, great nights of sleep and excellent breakfasts. The location is perfect - at... More

Brief stay at St Benet's shortly after the new owners took over - absolutely splendid! The Abbey itself is very quaint and unusual and with the upgrades JJ & Lynn (the owners) apparently have planned this will undoubtedly be a real `find'. Although it's in a very quiet village St Benets is almost equidistant between the Eden Project, Padstow and... More

Stayed at St Benet's Abbey for a few days midweek. Friendly welcome with tea and biscuits on arrival and new owners very helpful even though they had only been there for 2 days. The room was comfortable and surroundings beautiful. The building itself is full of old charm and quirky. Breakfast was excellent. Was told that there was work going... More

From the day we booked, to our arrival, to the day we left we received nothing but wonderful service. Upon arrival our landlady gave us a guided tour of the Abbey, with a few historical facts thrown in. We loved our room and were very impressed by the free WiFi in the rooms (which isn't advertised) especially as 3G coverage... More

We have just returned from a six night stay at st.benets abbey. Beautiful gardens, historic building, woods and a stream running through the end of the garden. We had a warm welcome and after being shown our room we sat out in the garden to catch the last of the afternoon sun with our tray of complementary tea and biscuits. Our room... More

Just spent 3 nights here and couldn't have asked for any better. Good location for visiting Eden Project and Lost Gardens which is why we were there. Also handy for visiting other attractions in the area. Rooms were spacious and beds comfortable so good nights sleep had during the stay. The breakfasts were excellent especially the full english. I have... More

This olde worlde B&B started life in 1411 (well parts of it anyway). From the start the owners could not have been more helpful. The summer room was small but had all the amenities and was very clean. The residents louge is the 1411 bit and was brilliant for a last Merlot and chill before bed. The location of the... More

An old abbey situated in its own grounds provides somewhere a little different from the usual chain hotels. Priced competitively rooms had the usual amenities you would expect and were comfortable and spacious. A walk up through the private woods and bamboo plantation is worth it and maybe glimpse some deer that roam there. Staff attentive and there is ample... More
