Wonderful ancient building on the southern outskirts of Lanivet. We received a warm welcome from the host, who told us about the connection between the Abbey and the Knights Templar. Fascinating! Lovely cosy bar area in the evening and a fantastic Cornish breakfast in the morning.

We had a lovely relaxing time, unwinding from a hectic day at work. We went out for a evening meal just down the road, easy walking distance to The Lanivet Inn. Very nice meal. We slept well in the lovely large room. Very, very good breakfast. Excellent service. Thank you JJ and we do hope to return again.

This quiet, charming B&B is situated in the heart of Cornwall. The rooms were comfortable and reasonably good and the beds firm. The hosts are very nice, friendly people. There is a short walk to the town where we had a pub dinner one evening. Very easy driving to see Cornish sights and towns - Truro, Penzance, St Michael's Island... More

We were in a 6 man walking group doing the Saint's Way from Padstow to Fowey. The hotel was chosen for being midway on the route. What a lovely surprise after a hard day.Warm comfortable hotel owned by a great character JJ and his lovely wife Lynn. JJ was a bit of a raconteur and gave some very interesting history... More

This is a beautiful place to stay. Lovely historic building. Our room was small but spotlessly clean, nicely furnished and very comfortable. Breakfast was great and the service was outstanding. Highly recommend.

My partner and I chose this b&b as we wanted a couple days away and it's location was ideal for where we wanted to visit. Situated just off the main road, it's such a beautiful little place! The outside seems well maintained and is pretty to look around (or even relax outside of the weather is good l!) Our room... More

Spent 6 days in early October at this great B and B. It is situated on the outskirts of the small village of Lanivet which is equi-distant from each coast. It makes it an ideal base with the Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan, Mevagissy, Fowey, Charlestown (where Poldark is filmed), Polperro and Looe to the south and Port Isaac... More

Our twin en-suite room on the ground floor - for the benefit of my disabled friend - of this converted centuries-old abbey was fairly basic. There were tea/coffee-making facilities and a small flat screen tv. I cannot comment on the quality of other rooms. Perhaps the best thing about the guest house was the breakfast: part buffet-style and part to... More

As with all the other reviews, we can only say lovely things about the place. Arrived early evening and was welcomed by JJ and his daughter (2yrs) Faith. He showed us to our room (7) which overlooked the tower at the rear of the house. The house is on the main road through Lanivet. It is well masked by the... More

We only booked for one night on our way back from Isles of Scilly. We found the B&B easily with the SatNav address and there was plenty of off road parking. JJ welcomed us, showed us the dining room and guests bar/ lounge which is fantastic. JJ and his wife have only owned the business since 2013 and have focused... More
