We found St Benet's Abbey last minute as an add-on to our onward trip to Penzance. What a place! On arrival, we received a warm and friendly welcome from the owners, JJ and Lynn. We were shown to our room (Room 1), which was clean and spacious with lovely views out to the garden. After an evening meal at a... More

As soon as you arrive you see the buildings have great character. When you get to the marvellous old front door you see it has great character. Then you meet the owner, a great character. Our stay at St Benets Abbey was a unique experience. We were looked after very well, with great help finding places to eat in the... More

We stayed for 7 nights and had a fantastic time. The property is very interesting with lots of history and is also very comfortable. Lanivet is an excellent base, with quick access to the north and south coast. We stayed in Room 8 which had its own external entrance and was very quiet. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of... We stayed for one night on our 3-4 day tour of Cornwall. St.Benet's Abbey is stepped in history but what made the stay truly memorable was the hosts JJ & Lynne. In fact without a doubt JJ was second to none as a host, not only as far as making our stay at St Benet's Abbey extremely comfortable but also... More

We went in for lunch and sat in the lovely gardens. I have never had savoury scones before so tried brie, cranberry and ham scone and it was served with a lovely salad. It was delicious .My friend had salmon and cream cheese on hers and my daughter had a delicious slice of freshly made cake. I would thoroughly recommend... More

After reading good reviews about St Benets abbey we decided to book a room for a midweek overnight stay as we were visiting the eden project and celebrating our anniversary. I had emailed the owner to check which room we would be staying in just out of interest after seeing the pictures on their website and was satisfied with the... More

Good choice for our B and B stopover. Lots of history and our hosts were working so hard to ensure guests have a comfortable stay. Our room was spotless and the bed linen and towels top quality. High standard breakfast with various options and all cooked to order. A warm welcome from great hosts.

What an absolutely stunning venue, so much History! on arrival our greeting couldn't of been better, a warm and friendly welcome from Lynn and JJ Jones.
