An amazing stay JJ and his wife where brilliant hosts very welcoming to there lovely cute place. Me and my partner felt like we where treated as people and not as a room number. The bed was comfortable and it had everything in the room that you needed. Was very clean and tidy, spotless in fact. If you go, you... More

The attention and customer care Lynn and JJ provided us four exhausted hikers went far beyond anything that could have been expected.Literally nothing was too much trouble for our wonderful hosts. They even went as far as rescuing us when we were lost and flagging on our walk along the Saints Way,thanks to vandals,or disgruntled farmers, uprooting direction posts! St Benets... More

Other reviews hit the spot. Our room was warm, clean and quiet. The bed was large and very comfortable. The linen was excellent. I liked the bath. With only 8 bedrooms (2 are annexes) one can't expect a huge Continental spread. However, the owners are so obliging they might produce the usual cold meats and cheese for European visitors who... The proprietor was very helpful and welcoming. He offered to book us into the local pub the Lanivet Inn for our evening meal, and the food was excellent. When I booked the room I told the proprietor that we were walking the Saint's Way at this point to be fair he offered us a taxi service if we booked for... More

A well presented and clean establishment. Breakfast was ample, offering plenty of choice. Owners are very friendly and keen to please. Offering plenty of local information. Bed was excellent. The only reason I did not give them a rating of 5 was due to the poor WiFi. Talked to the owner about it and he indicated it was due to... More

I arrived at St Benet's on foot after walking about 12 miles, and was given a pilgrim's welcome. John and Lin had excellent advice and offered healing medicaments which had me back on my feet the next day. I immediately felt at home and decided on the spot to stay an extra night. I extended this to three nights after... More

What a lovely building and welcoming owners/staff. Nothing was to much trouble. I booked last minute and was in their cheaper room - summer room. The room and bed was spotless although the room does need a little updating. Also be aware that there is road noise. I will stay again but will have a superior room inside the building.... More

My wife and I had a wonderful return stay at St benets, the Hosts John and Lin made us very welcome again on arrival, after unpacking and settling in we were treated to a lovely Conrish tea. We ate again at the Welcome Stranger fish and chip restaurant and had a drink in the lanivet Inn before returning to St... More

Stayed for 2 nights and it was wonderful. St Benets is steeped in history and the owners go the extra mile to make sure you enjoy it to the full. We were in room 3 - very comfy (and very large!) bed (although intermittent Wi-Fi connection, which I refuse to mark it down for as wi-fi was readily available in... More

Thank you for your lovely sentiments and comments. We will take a look at whether anything can be done with the wifi in that particular room as we would like everything to be just right - although our granite walls do play havoc with the signal. We very much enjoyed looking after you and sharing stories and we certainly hope... More

Wonderful welcome by friendly hosts JJ and Lyn; nothing was too much trouble and they genuinely cared that we (three couples) should enjoy our stay. The beautiful historic buildings of St Benet's Abbey are a fascinating setting that I hope we will return to enjoy again; this is no ordinary B&B. Great care was taken in providing a quite excellent... More
