A lovely property with lovely owners. Nothing was too much trouble. Delicious breakfast in a beautiful area. Lots of lovely art throughout. Our room had a Kitchen and sitting area which was useful as we were staying for a wedding at the nearby Polhawn Fort which was really close so our daughter who was staying at the fort came to... We were made to feel very welcome. The room was spacious and nicely furnished. The bathroom also spacious and ample hot water. Very quiet location. Nice touches, such as cold milk in the room with tea/coffee making facilities. Lovely lillies in the room. We were offered a complementary bottle of very nice wine. We were also offered a lift down... More

Great location in a great surrounding, calm and peaceful. Great accomodation with two pleasant bedrooms and a large and comfortable sitting room. The hosts Karen and Paul prepared a great full English Breakfast (a pitty it was not warm enough to take it in the hugh garden) and gave us good tips, Paul even drove us to Cowsand for dinner.... I am a little reluctant to leave a review, as anything remotely negative has been responded to quite bitterly and on a personal level, but nevertheless this is a forum for me to detail my experience, so here it is. Area-nice, quiet, remote Building-nice, lovely old farmhouse, nice views Room-good size, grubby furniture and dirty cups, proper coffee and fresh... More

We stayed here at the end of june to attend a wedding. Karen was very helpfull with directions and even lent us the use of a touch for the 12 min. walk back from the reception up a steep track/pathway. The room was comfortable and the bed gave a great nights sleep. For me the best part of the stay... More

My husband & I stayed one night B&B mid-week in June at Rame Barton; it didn't disappoint. Beautiful house in an idyllic setting – a home to aspire to. Our ensuite room was huge(!) Felt like we were staying in a stately home. We had a good night's sleep thanks to the comfortable bed and the quiet surroundings. Breakfast was... More

We visited Rame Barton last year and came again for 2 nights in June. The B&B acccomodation is absolutely flawless - stylish, very clean and comfortable. Everything about it is well appointed and classy. The owners are very helpful and friendly, Their artistic and design flair is very evident.

Rame Barton was a very pleasant surprise after my disappointing previous nights stay at another location. The location is fabulous. Anyone who has read my reviews knows that I love views and countryside...this doesnt get better. The setting is on a slight hillside below the Church, with lovely garden and field views and coastal view to one side from the... More

We booked online purely because it was the nearest accommodation for a friend's wedding at Polhawn Fort. We were delighted with what we found. A warm, friendly welcome and an excellent room. Comfy beds and fabulous shower facilities just made the whole visit to the wedding a joyful experience. Breakfast was 5* and Karen and Paul were extremely helpful. We... More

Stayed at Rame Barton for a wedding at Polhawn Fort. Ideal location for the fort, no more than 2 minutes drive to the fort entrance. The property has been renovated to a great standard and the owners Peter and Karen did their best to make our stay comfortable, even though we liked our room a little warmer, they duly obliged.... well this lovely couple did tell us they were not very warm on their first night, although we do keep the temperature in all rooms at a constant 21 degrees, which is more than warm enough for most guests and above the recommended temperature ...and we do have really high tog rating feather duvets, with an extra rather special thick...
