Just back from a relaxing stay at Launceston Farm in the Bothy, the self-catering cottage in the grounds. Wonderful location, helpful owner, who thoughtfully left us fresh flowers and home baked cake. The Bothy is wonderfully stylish with all the luxuries you'd expect in a boutique hotel. Lots of helpful maps and walks provided.

Idyllic. Everything you could want from a hideaway romantic retreat and then some. The pics on the website don’t do it justice and it is hard not to keep it a secret in case too many people discover the magic! Things that are a must are many but you should try to enjoy one of Sarah’s meals if you can.... More

This is the sort of place we want to tell everyone about, but at the same time want to keep as a secret for ourselves! We stayed in the Bothy, a self-catering cottage, which is even more homely and beautiful than the pictures on the website depict. Every single aspect of the cottage and our stay was beautifully thought-out and... More

Ha ha! We are trying everything we can to get Jimi on the TV - he's a natural but he's not very willing. Maybe BBC2 would be a good place to start! The Bothy is so popular with everyone who is staying but it sounds as though the website photos aren't doing it jsutice. Will get on it. Thank you... More

I arrived late - very late after a puncture on a motorway 200 miles earlier. This is a truely quaint little place run beautfully - the little touches of loveliness in the room were really great. The farmhouse breakfast was excellent - you sit round a big table with the other guests - the produce was either from the farm... More

We have just spent a fabulous 3 nights staying at this beautiful farmhouse B&B. The Orchard room has the biggest bathroom I have ever seen! The slipper bathtub is a real luxury after a day of strolling along the Dorset coastline. Breakfasts were delicious - as was the afternoon cake that greeted our arrival. Sarah and her family have done... More

We've just had our 3rd stay at this very stylish farm B&B which sets a new bar for B&B! The farmhouse is beautifully done - restful neutral tones with some quirky design twists. It is part of a working organic farm which is the owner's passion and that comes across very much, particularly at breakfast when you savour the various... More

We could only stay one night and almost weren't able to book because, understandably, the owner prefers a minimum two-night stay in high season. However, owing to a cancellation, Sarah was able to accommodate us - in the lovely Orchard Room with the massive bathroom. In less than 24 hours we saw very little but we could not fault Launceston... More

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Launceston Farm. Yes, the owner is a little abrupt... very country, horsey, no nonsense but utterly brilliant and efficient. I thought she was great. Lovely comfortable rooms, great quality and well cooked breakfast in a beautiful location. And not forgetting the delicious homemade biscuits in the bedrooms... those little touches and details make all... More

We stayed for two nights this September and really enjoyed our stay. B&Bs are not for everyone but if you like all the little personal touches and really meeting the owner, then this would be a great choice. It is a really stylish conversion of a Georgian farmhouse. Our room (Orchard) was fabulous with the largest bathroom I have ever... More

A quintessential English farmhouse with a modern twist. A beautiful setting within rolling hills for pleasant walks/views, spacious garden for calm & relaxation or just to enjoy a favourtie tipple with company, bedrooms with an Old English feel for comfort & homliness, but tastefully complemented with modern fittings and some excellent home cooking to sample at breakfast, around a large...
