Launceston Farm is absolutely charming and the owner was very welcoming and helpful. We were welcomed into the lounge, where there was a roaring fire and given tea and home made fruit cake. The rooms are beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We were so impressed that we will be coming back and hopefully, later this year.

Six of us have just returned from a 2 night stay whilst we visited Salisbury's Christmas market. You must note that this establishment is associated with the Wolsey Lodges chain and as such is a working home and not a plastic regimented hotel/service station. As such you are asked to arrive after 4.00 pm -no problems. We were warmly greeted... More

We had an enjoyable couple of days here. Our room overlooked the garden, and had a massive bathroom with freestanding bath and armchair. It was cosy and warm on some drizzly October days. We were made to feel very welcome on arrival by Sarah and enjoyed tea and cake. Looking forward to returning again next summer.

For those looking for a real country experinece this is the place. It is in a fantastic location surrounded by wonderful Dorset countryside. It has somethig that others strive to create, but here it comes so naturally. It is clearly run by people who want to offer the best of the new (great bathroom with super walk-in shower) while retaining... More

In a nut shell, this place has the makings of something great. However with all the good will in the world, the owner can at best, be described as defensive. Basically if you want a place to sleep, you arrive in your one hour time frame and you don't ask questions you should be fine. If you want a warm... More

I am sorry to hear that you felt you were unwelcome at Launceston Farm. That was not my intention at all. We ask guests to specify their arrival time to ensure that a member of the family is here to welcome them. We try to accommodate later or earlier arrivals as best we can and I am always available on... More

Another delightful few days spent at The Bothy. The welcome pack, the beautifully decorated cottage, the stunning bath in the courtyard. All as we remembered it from last Autumn. The dogs made themselves at home as did we. Went out for long walks during the day to the coast mostly. Ate in The Bothy at night with just one visit... More

Would highly recommend a stay at Launceston Farm, the surroundings are stunningly beautiful and a short walk from a picturesque village and pub. The rooms were lovely and the breakfast was fantastic - every little detail taken care of. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Launceston Farm was excellent in every way. Fabulous cooked breakfast (black pudding was wonderful) served around a massive table, beautiful comfortable bedroom with lovely and spotlessly clean bathroom. The furnishing of the house and rooms is lovely and feels more like a boutique hotel than a B and B and working farm. The slipper bath in our room was great... More

We have just spent a delightful three nights In launceston farmhouse, not nearly long enough! Such comfort and every extra you would expect in a boutique hotel. Sarah was so welcoming and friendly with great suggestions for filling our days. We will miss the stunning views from our room and look forward to returning.

We have just returned from a truly wonderful relaxing 7 nights at ‘The Bothy’. This was our first visit to Dorset and with hindsight we should have booked 2 weeks! The cottage is a real home from home, well equipped and finished to a high specification. We especially appreciated the welcome pack to get us started, which included a delicious... More

What stunning photos! The bath and courtyard look amazing...On your recommendation we are heading down to the vineyard at Lytchett Matravers for a tasting. Top tip. We are so pleased you found a spot for your horse chestnut, I am sure it will be well looked after. More
