Because of a wine festival we could not find a convenient room in Cafayate, so we ended up 20 km further, in San Carlos, and did not regret it one minute. On our trip through Argentina, coming from Salta, we had a wonderful stay in La Vaca Tranquila. Very helpful staff, delicious homemade breakfast and big clean rooms. The place is an active farm, the owner is making his own beer from this quiet hotel you can make trips to Los Molinos, Cafayate etc. Recommended!

the setting is incredible, pool awesome and best of it's very unique and rustic. highly recommended.

The place is an authentic farm. So, you'll definitely enjoy home-brewed beers, horse riding or chilling time around the swimming pool. Owners are talkative and really easy going! We had a great time and will definitely come back.
