Large family-friendly pub catering for the undiscerning over 70s. Old-fashioned (outdated) menu from 30 years ago, which wouldn't be so bad if the kitchen had one iota of competence. They don't. With the Wise Man, the Blue Vinnie and the Countryman all within 15 mins there is no excuse for visiting this place unless you're simply hungry and in a... More

We have eaten here on many occasions over the years and the food has always been good country pub food. Roasts on the weekend are excellent and plentiful. The ambience is good and particularly interesting to steam train buffs as loads of pictures and books to browse. Service which is commented on by others at weekends has been good, however... More

Had a booking for lastnight for my grandmothers 80th birthday and was very impressed, I couldn't fault anything. The staff was very helpful and friendly and the food was superb, everyone enjoyed themselves thoroughly.

We recently stayed at The Frampton Arms in Moreton - great location for visiting Dorchester, Weymouth, Wareham, Corfe Castle, Swanage. We booked the twin en suite with colour TV, tea/coffee making facilities and mini bar and were delighted, it was comfortable, warm and extremely clean. Loved that we had quilts and not blankets and pillows had protectors - breakfast was... More

Menu looked good, conservatory dining room looked OK. Things were busy so we ordered as soon as we arrived to make sure we were served quickly we waited and waited and waited it took 45 minutes to arrive after we reminded the staff that we had been forgotten! Our food did arrive and it was good quality. At the end... More

Just celebrated a 70th birthday party, only three words to describe the Frampton Arms and the staff. Simply The Best. The owner John and his delightful wife Jeanette made us so welcome and ALL of the staff ensured that this special evening was one we would always remember. The food was excellent, in my opinion, the best in Dorset and... More

This is the third time that we have stayed at The Frampton, and we would like to say a big 'thank you' to John, Jeanette and their team following our seven day stay down in Dorset. We have now stayed in all three rooms and once again have enjoyed our stay, with fantastic food, lovely accommodation and great hospitality shown... More

Service was very poor and we were not warned that there would be such a long wait. It took 2 hours to complete our meal at lunch time with the restaurant only partly filled By the time we got to our sweet the chef had gone home and not all sweets could be provided. My liquor coffee came out as... More

We stayed in a local campsite with two dogs. When visiting the frampton arms on the first night we were told that dogs could go in the bar and the garden but no where else. The bar was lacking in character and seemed very clinical. No music but Fair enough we thought we do have dogs and there are some... More

We visited this pub whilst staying at a local campsite. We arrived very late, but the staff we're welcoming, and managed to squeeze us in to the busy restaurant. The food was excellent. We returned the next day and the service and food were still excellent. We would definitely return.
