Wonderful hotel owner and personnel. Location in a picturesque small village in the hills. Ideal as a base to explore the Gorges du Verdon. Excellent restaurant inside the hotel, with top French cuisine at affordable prices (The owner himself is the chef.).

My mother and I stayed here while visiting the gorges du verdon. It is a small quaint village high up on the plain. The hotel is small and we were given the best room in the house which happened to be up at least 3 flights. My mother initially didn't want this room as she didn't want to climb the... More

My husband and I found l'auberge be baudinard hotel on the internet and decided to book for one night while we were visiting the verdon gorges. The village itself is tiny and quiet but very pretty and only a few minutes drive from the lake. The hotel/b&b has character, great views from some rooms, friendly owners and a beautiful little... We have a home here in Provence and have spent our holidays here for 10 years so have eaten in all the local restaurants. Over the course of 2 weeks we have visited around 10 local restaurants where we know the food is good, this one has changed hands recently and although the previous owner was a great cook the... We were two retired couples travelling together in Provence. We preferred to sleep in Chambre d'hote. After a visit to the Gorge of Verdon we slept in a village called Baudinard, about 4 km away from lake St. Croix. For dinner we were recommended L'Auberge de Baudinard. To our surprise, the restaurant was full when we arrived (about 20:00) but... More

We had dinner here while staying in the village. La patronne was very welcoming and friendly. The wine was good value local produce, and the food fresh and well cooked. It was great value all round; and the collection of Tintin memorabilia great for nostalgia of youth. It may have had a veneer of eccentricity, but it was memorable and... More

We were very pleased when we arrived. The room was clean with a fantastic view over the forest and mountains. Both owners were very friendly and happy to help with the requests we made, such as a bag of ice for a bottle of wine in our room. The food was excellent, especially the duck and the gizzard (geziers) salad!... More
