We were two retired couples travelling together in Provence. We preferred to sleep in Chambre d'hote. After a visit to the Gorge of Verdon we slept in a village called Baudinard, about 4 km away from lake St. Croix. For dinner we were recommended L'Auberge de Baudinard. We had dinner here while staying in the village. La patronne was very welcoming and friendly. The wine was good value local produce, and the food fresh and well cooked. We were very pleased when we arrived. The room was clean with a fantastic view over the forest and mountains. Both owners were very friendly and happy to help with the requests we made, such as a bag of ice for a bottle of wine in our room.
