It's listed on Tripadvisor as an outstanding budget choice. It was cheaper by a significant amount than the other place we stayed in the Lofoten Islands (Nyvagar Rorbuer in Kabelvag ( which costs about $400 to $200 here. However, Nyvagar Rorbuer was very comfortable with great views and included an outstanding breakfast, sheets, and no 300NOK clean up fee). But... More

Interesting little spot on an island between two bridges. Once your here there is not much to do except go for a row in the free boats. There is a great restaurant with big meals and good value (for Norway) Cabins are a good size but our shower wouldn't point the right way (cabin 9) and we were in the... More

We stayed at Eliassen Rorbuer in June and had some lovely days. The view is spectacular. And for me the view made the difference between a good/ok rorbuer to a very good one. First: the cabins are quite big, good furniture and wifi. The curtains are too thin for northern norway and since we spent our first nights of the... More

We stayed in Cabin no. 1 (Thomas Bua) for 4 nights at the end of June - it had the most spectacular views. The decor is nice, with well-stocked kitchen equipment for cooking yourself (although nothing but salt in the cupboards). All newly renovated. The area is lovely, with the nearby fish shop (open on Sundays) on Sakrisøy, a supermarket... More

Delightful, beautiful interior, full equipped. We didnt realise we were leaving that there were rowing boats free to use and potter about in. Great location and views - restaurant on site. We were sorry to be leaving so soon!

The Lofoten Islands are one of the world's most beautiful archipelagos and the location of Eliassen Rorbuer is at its center. The rorbuer (fishing cabins) are built right on the fjord almost touching the mountains that surround them. It doesn't get any better than this. We stayed in Eskilbua (24) wiit view on two sides as it is an end... More

A very delightful few days in Arturbua (no. 23) 25th-27th June 2014. Weather was brilliant the whole week I and my two sisters were in Lofotoen. Karolina in the reception is very friendly and service-minded. Two dinners at Hamnøya Mat & Vinhus - both meals top score.

We stayed 1 night at Eliassen rorbu, but would like to stay longer. Great rorbu, great place. We will come back. We stayed in a rorbu with 5 beds and the children were playing with the kittens outside.

Having chosen this because of the great reviews, we arrived with great expectations and were not disappointed. The cabins are lovely and the view is fantastic! The staff was welcoming, very friendly and professional. They offered several good suggestions and we were very happy with the hikes they suggested. Unfortunately, the weather during our stay was not as good as... More

We stayed 3 nights at Eliassen rorbu. The rorbu (little house) is well equipped; good kitchen and bathroom. Only the beds are tiny and small: 1.80 m length. Outside there is a great barbecue facility. The restaurant is definitely worth a visit, but make a reservation in advance as it is a small restaurant and very popular. Eliassen rorbu has... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
There is a place on Earth where the Sun never sets, the Northern lights never cease to amaze, and the landscape changes constantly, the wind never stops blowing and the people always smile. These are the Lofoten. Eliassen Rorbuer is a holiday resort with fishermen’s cabins, enjoying the longest tradition in the tourist industry in Lofoten. We offer accommodation in a traditional fishermen’s cabin camp, in the most beautiful western part of the Lofoten Islands. It is situated on the tiny island of Hamnøy in Western Lofoten, the Moskenes municipality. The island is the last one in the archipelago to have the road link. Currently the Lofoten Islands are mainly associated with fishing, which takes place from January to April, alongside the entire archipelago. All of our cabins are new renovated and got a new floor, kitchen, bathroom and furnishings. Welcome to refreshed Eliassen Rorbuer! ... more   less
