We enjoyed our stay in Eliassen Rorbuer. It was comfortable and roomy with enough space to put things (especially important in the bathroom, although a couple of more hooks on the door would have been really good). Slight niggles: the bunks weren't wildly comfortable; the kitchen lacked a few things, notably oven gloves, and the option of a TV or... More

I booked our rorbua with Eliassen way in advance of our trip to be certain we got the cabin we wanted -- I'm sure glad I did, given how booked up they became even in the off-season. Our stay here was the highlight of our trip to Lofoten, and we all wished we could have stayed longer. We arrived in... More

Spent two nights in rorbua 22 in mid-March. This unit has updated thermal windows that kept the wind and cold outside. It was toasty from the moment we walked in. We arrived a bit late, but the door was left open for us and the place was warm and inviting. We were three adults, but the place could easily accommodate... More

We stayed two nights at cabin number 5, a corner unit partially perched over the rocks with water lapping underneath. We had the worst weather in the past two months: hurricane-grade winds, rain, sleet and snow. The cabin was shaking so much under the gusting wind that I was worried it would collapse. Thankfully it was sturdy to survive the... More

I have just returned from 2 nights at Eliassen Rorbuer- early March 2014. We loved this place, and having travelled around the islands a bit, I think we found the best place! The cabin (Sveinbua nr 3) was just beautiful. It was warm- absolutely essential in this climate, beautifully decorated and had the most perfect view out over the water.... More

These cabins are in a fantastic location. They are clean and comfortable during the day, with all facilities needed. Heating was more than adequate and we had to turn it off at night. The sleeping quarters are a bit cramped and with the two beds pushed together in the middle of the room there was no room to stand up... More

We stayed for 2 nights in February 2014, and my only complaint is that 2 nights wasn't long enough! The cabin was good value, with good quality accommodation and a totally stunning location. We stayed in cabin 23 and the views straight out to the water were amazing, I'd highly recommend this cabin. All of the cabins are located on... More

the hostel is a guest-house in the small fishmen village of Reine, not so far from Å i Lofoten.. thumbs up for the huge living room and the kitchen where you can meet lots of people from all over the world...

We had booked the 'Olabua' for a night's stay for our second night in the Lofoten Islands. The place was huge and clean and very cosy. Kitchen was well equipped and wifi was good and fast. Our cabin was located near the harbor but we didn't really get to enjoy the views though. Mattresses were abit thin but not too... More

Incredible, breathtaking view of the mountains and the water, right outside the back of our cabin. Great, clean, welcoming rooms. I recommend getting the larger rooms, even if just two of you as they're right on the water and quite comfortable. Friendly staff, and right next to the Hamnøy restaurant.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
There is a place on Earth where the Sun never sets, the Northern lights never cease to amaze, and the landscape changes constantly, the wind never stops blowing and the people always smile. These are the Lofoten. Eliassen Rorbuer is a holiday resort with fishermen’s cabins, enjoying the longest tradition in the tourist industry in Lofoten. We offer accommodation in a traditional fishermen’s cabin camp, in the most beautiful western part of the Lofoten Islands. It is situated on the tiny island of Hamnøy in Western Lofoten, the Moskenes municipality. The island is the last one in the archipelago to have the road link. Currently the Lofoten Islands are mainly associated with fishing, which takes place from January to April, alongside the entire archipelago. All of our cabins are new renovated and got a new floor, kitchen, bathroom and furnishings. Welcome to refreshed Eliassen Rorbuer! ... more   less
