Had a buffet breakfast in this nice colonial court close to the town's main square (zocalo). Very good food and service, live music well played. The place is also known for the statue of a Mexican woman in traditional dress. Totally worth it, if you are nearby don't miss it!

A dream house from the XVI Century, boutique hotel. A block away from the Zocalo (Central Park). Very nice rooms, beautifully decorated, antique furniture. Good service. The hotel has a nice restaurant for breakfast and dinner. On breakfast, a large buffet with at least 6 Mexican food options. On dinner, Fridays and Saturdays, they have live music, serving Pueblan dishes... More

This is a very nice hotel, full of chracter and in a central position just a step away from the historic main square. We booked via the hotel website and were able to choose specififc rooms. Our room was one of the cheaper ones, San du Juan Caterina, but it was spacious with a seating area, light, well equipped and... More

Puebla is one of the most attractive colonial cities in Mexico, and this hotel is in one of the most attractive buildings near the centre. Our room was of high quality, spacious and attractively furnished and equipped. The bathroom facilities were top-class. The courtyard restaurant served excellent breakfasts, and also other meals - which we didn't sample as the evening... More

We stayed in a room with a tall ceiling crossed by old wooden beams and slept on a bed with antique four-post bed frame. We needed to keep the window shutters closed as the room looks out over and active street but with them closed noise was not an issue. The location is great, the breakfast buffet was plentiful but... We stayed here just after Christmas and the hotel is a stunning old colonial hotel. The rooms huge, clean, and a wonderful mix of colonial and modern. The service we received from the staff was generally excellent, although the evening front desk clerk seemed a bit bothered when we asked her a couple of questions. The hotel’s restaurant served some... More

This small hotel is a block off the Zocalo in the Historic District--and it couldn't be more charming. Each room has been renovated with loving care, all circling a central courtyard that houses an exquisite restaurant. The people who work here are like a family, and take great pride in the place and their work. It's a gracious, lovely place... More

We stayed here on a three night visit from the US to see our daughter who is studying in Puebla. The hotel is small and clean and as far away from US corporate hotels as you can get, which is just what we wanted. Service was attentive and very polite. The rooms were beautiful, imaginative and very well kept. Could... More

We had a long and enjoyable stay at Casona de China- 9 nights in total during two separate stays. This boutique hotel is set in an elegant and beautifully restored colonial building in red/white colors and with great views of nearby churches.  It is conveniently located- about 2 minute walking to the Zocalo and we walked to all major sights... The hotel is beautiful- we stayed in the Los Angeles suite, and it combined modern amenities with the charm of a historic home. The location is perfect, walking distance to everything in the historic district. But the hotel falls sadly short on their food: we ate breakfast there every day, and had dinner in the restaurant, as well as room-service... More
