I stayed here with my husband in August 2014 for 5 nights. The hotel is beautifully restored, with a handsomely decorated lounge area on the second floor that is on the perimeter of the first floor open air restaurant. The food at the restaurant was delicious and artistically plated. The buffet breakfasts were outstanding. Our room was spacious and immaculately... More

My mom and I stayed here over New Years. The hotel is really beautiful. The staff was really helpful. They didn't seem to speak much English, but I speak Spanish so it wasn't a problem for us. The best part of our stay was the food. Everything we ate in the restaurant was really good. I highly recommend this hotel... More

This boutique hotel, located very close to the Zocalo, is lovingly restored with beautiful artefacts. Our room was very spacious and comfortable, if a little dark. But there is a very comfortable lounge area above the restaurant/ atrium, with tea and coffee- making facilities- as well as cookies. We didn't eat in the restaurant which was empty the 2 nights... My husband and I spent six nights at the Casona de la China Poblana and were extremly happy to have had the opportunity to have accomodations at such a lovely hotel. Our room was spacious and beautifully appointed with a great bathroom and huge shower. The breakfasts were included and they were exceptional as was the staff in the restaurant.... More

The charm of this hotel is in the conversion of a beautiful old house in to a good hotel, and is located close to the Zocola. The restaurant is located in the open courtyard in the centre of the property. There are only a small number of rooms which are furnished in a traditional manner. Rooms are spacious with a... More

Beautiful building with really spacious and lovely rooms. Service was impeccable. Breakfast was included and wow....a great selection of gourmet Mexican food! You can walk to the Zocalo in 5 minutes and it is close to everything in the historic district. WIFI and good cable tv made it perfect. The bed was a dream as was the bathroom. They serve... More

Beautiful room with exposed beams, plaster details, beautiful furniture and huge. Noisy at night as our room was on the corner and one of the streets was obviously a major road. Restaurant had very good food and excellent service. Enjoyed our two nights there and in Puebla.

The property is absolutely beautiful. The building was built in 17th century but it has been completely renovated. It is located in the historic center, about 2 blocks from main square (Zocalo) The property is small with only 10 luxury rooms and suites. Each room and suite are different and uniquely beautiful. We have stayed there 2 times and have... More

We came with our three small children and found the staff courteous and helpful. The rooms are spacious, individually and uniquely decorated, and all have modern amenities (designer bathrooms, lots of closet space, a pillow menu...) The restaurant and room service are very slow but otherwise do not have any complaints.

One can consider that the Casona de la China Puebla contributed to Puebla’s designation by UNESCO as a World Heritage. The hotel is close to the main important landmarks of the city, eg, cathedral, library, markets, museums, shopping area, and restaurants. It’s at the corner of two streets which may lead one to immediately fear sleepless night because of outside... More
