My husband and I stayed at El Hotelito for a week over Christmas. It was good value and in a great location. You definitely get what you pay for, and while our room was large with a small fridge, the bathroom needed work done. The staff are extremely friendly and eager to help.

I used to stay here a lot up to two years ago when it was a good deal. But now, not even it's perfect location and fantastic staff can save this place. The hotel has fallen into disrepair: some walls are cracking due to humidity problems, furniture is exceedingly tired, and faucets have developed buildup that impedes good water flow.... More

Great value , small hotel in the center within walking distance to shops and restaurants. Taxis are cheap and readily available. My daughter was sick and the staff treated her like their own. Clean streets and colonial style buildings make for lovely walks around town.

We had a reservation for two nights; we stayed one, and wished we could have gotten out earlier. Our room, on the second floor, had roaches and did not smell good. The hot water handles didn't work on the sinks, the air was bad, the bathroom was up a steep step, and the bedspreads were kind of disgusting--we removed ours... More

Great place to stay in Puebla. Easy walking distance (5-10 mins) to the historic centre. Room was comfortable and spacious. Staff were always available and ready to help. Beds were a little harder than I like, but no worse than any other hotel like this. Beautiful courtyard and colourful walls. Internet was handy and cafe down stairs makes espresso for... More

Location is central, between Zocalo (10-minute walk) and Paseo Bravo park (5 minutes), both of which are safe, green and pleasant places to relax (if you don't mind the mosquitoes!!). The numerous sites of interest in the city centre are walkable. Affordable and reasonably comfortable, with high ceilings and some nice touches (talavera-type sink, fridge and microwave but no utensils).... More

For around forty dollars you get a room with balcony, nice view, free wifi, small fridge & microwave, and best of all: centrally located. There's better value available in Puebla but not in the centro; you have to have a car and then other good options open up for you, like two great hotel-de-paso locations on the Cholula road. But... I tried to make a reservation by email, but no one replied. I tried calling them, but no one answered the phone. I would have like to have stayed here, but not if I can't make the reservation in advance of the day we arrive in Puebla. :(

There are equal parts pros and cons with my experience in this hotel. The hotel is quaint and is centrally located, but the rooms gave me an array of mixed emotions. High ceilings, delightful balconies with lovely views, colorful and lively bathrooms were all pros. The room as whole however just didn't seem clean enough. The sheets and blankets didn't... More
