The hotel is accessed off a three-story glass covered walkway or gallery (think Paris or Rome). It has been very recently remodeled and the rooms, while plain, are comfortable--although we had neither a closet nor a wardrobe. After spending hours looking for a hotel, we booked La Alhondiga through some fluke in their expedia system and they ended up overbooked. Still, compared to a lot of the hotels we called and/or visited, the people were very helpful and managed to work the situation out, though we had to change rooms after the first night...
