This is a lovely hotel! Very friendly staff and a great setting, right on the beautiful Zocalo, with a view of the cathedral. We got the senior suite, which was huge and not at all expensive! It had 1 double and 2 single beds (all quite hard), some sofa’s, an enormous wardrobe and a cute bathroom. We stayed here one... more

This Hotel has serious smell problems thru the interior shafts that share most bathrooms in interior bedrooms. You could hear the toilets flushing and then smell everything. Also the noise from other rooms such as tv, conversations, employees, are loud and bothersome--this is not the noise from the street like one would expect is OK. The overall ambience is UNinviting,... more

This hotel seems to have a split personality. Some of the rooms in the front of the hotel have been renovated and are fairly nice. If you stay be SURE to get one of those. I didn't and regretted it. I was show one of the rooms afterwards and it was much nicer but I still don't think I'd stay... more

One of the nicest hotels we stayed in, in Mexico. Very conveniently located on the Zocalo. Our room was fairly small, but the bed was comfortable. The bathroom had a toilet and sink that were proudly taped up with a sign saying that they had been "Disinfected for our convenience" Which made me happy, no end. We had a nice... more

We requested a room with a view, but they were full. The two rooms we were offered were tiny and stuffy with only a small window at the bottom of a window well. We were hot and bitten by mosquitoes all night. Late night partiers came in around 3 am and loudly continued their party until 6 am with no... more

We got a tip from a travel book and decided on this hotel. We were very very pleased with our hotel. The location is perfect because it is smack in the center so you have access to good food, sites, etc. The room itself is very clean with wood floors which I appreciated. The staff is great and helpful and... more

I stayed 7 nights in the hotel Royalty. It is conveniently located by the Zocalo (main plaza). All places of interests are near. The hotel's staff is very friendly, helpful and speaks English very well. The reception is open 24 hours and someone will always assist you with a smile. A continental breakfast is included but a tip is expected (5-10... more

My husband and I spent 2 nights in Hotel Royalty and for the most part had an enjoyable experience. The location can't be beat--it is located right on the main square. We originally checked into a standard double room but found it small and dim, and well-- a little depressing. The Jr. Suite right next door however, was excellent--so we... more

The Hotel is the best located in downtown area, from our Junior Suite we could see the cathedral and all the "zocalo" or main square. Room clean and staff friendly. Food was the best of our stay, the "mole poblano" is fantastic.I could highly recomend this Hotel but ask for a Junior Suite!!!! more
