We stayed here five years ago and it was wonderful, so I booked us to stay again for Christmas 2014, and it was awful. The owners of this hotel have obviously not put one penny into the maintenance of the rooms. The free Wifi only works in the cold hallways and not in-room. You have to call the front desk... More

Beautiful colonial hotel, well-renovated with modern touches. I had a room on the second floor, facing the street. While there was some street noise, the substantial windows insulated me from that quite well. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. When my key card stopped working, and I couldn't get into my room, they gave me a temporary room to rest,... More

We loved this place! And we loved the staff! And we loved the location. The room was spacious and clean. No windows but that's pretty typical. A bit pricey but we felt it was worth it. All of the staff bent over backwards to make us feel at home. We'll go back.

I will be short; this hotel turns into disco on Saturday evening. My room 214 was just above the staircase. All the noise of the top roof bar, people entering and chatting in the lobby while waiting for the elevator and even cars passing by ( the main entrance door stays wide open) are in your room. This room has... More

We stayed here for several days as part of a large group. Although some people indicated that their rooms were a bit small, everyone was very satisfied with the cleanliness, the service, and the amenities in the rooms. The hotel is a renovated older building; the renovations are very well done. The location is excellent, just 1/2 block from the... More

We had a great room at this hotel room 101 ....second floor front . Large room, comfortable bed, fireplace (not used), two doors opening onto the street, larger bathroom. The only downfall was the paper vendors arriving on the street 5 am to distribute, however, this is Mexico... The hotel is. Lose to the square where everything happens and it's... More

My family and I just got back form staying at this hotel, I read all the reviews on Tripadvisor before I booked it, and thought even with the bad reviews it would be fine. We just moved to Mexico from Africa we are not picky!! The room we stayed in didn't have a window, you couldn't look outside at all,... More

Stayed there on June 24, 2013. Cute hotel, great location, room not ready until 2:00 PM but kept my suitcases and they were waiting in my room on my arrival back to the hotel. There was an air conditioner but could never get it to do anything but blow air, at night thing cooled down some. Soft comfortable bed, nice... More

Hotel is a sort of modernish style renovated old hotel very near the heart of Puebla with attendant loud noise throughout the night. In the mornings somebody somewhere is playing loud tinny music. The rooms are v large and a little eccentric- no desk for example. I didn't find an easy way to control the temperature- there is a unit... More

I wish tripadvisor had a rating between "average" and "very good." This hotel would land in that "good" category. Location is fantastic -- right around the corner from the main square (Zocalo). Near excellent restaurants (El Mural Poblano) and top tourist sites (Puebla Cathedral, Barrio del Artista, etc.) Hotel is clean, architecture/decor is lovely, staff is friendly (some speak limited...
