Don't stay here if you are after a good night's sleep. The walls are super thin. Cleanliness is ok. Beds are old and not very comfy. Pillows are very worn and lumpy. Bathrooms are as old as the hills and don't feel clean. Patchy WIFI. On the second night a large tour group arrived in the middle of the night... More

Spent a couple of nights here: - bed was okay, not awful but not super comfortable - room didn't have a fan or AC, which is a must in such a hot place - opening the balcony door helped for a while, but also invited mosquitoes in - shower in my room had no power -- the switch between bath... More

If you value a good night's sleep, forget it. If you have a room in the main courtyard, you can expect to be woken at any time of night. Many rooms don't have external windows, so if you want any ventilation at all, you have to open the window onto the hallway, inviting anyone to climb in, along with the... More

Like all hotels we stayed at in Mexico, this one did not give anywhere near the same value that a motel of the same price would provide in the U.S. No screen on window in room which was right off a hall, and no fan or other cooling; kinda spooky having to leave our window open for air at night.... Since our normal hotel was booked we decided to stay here especially because of the price for the hotel and its location in Puebla. The hotel was close enough to walk to both the bus station to Choula and the central downtown Zocolo and the shopping areas. The hotel has hard beds, no safe and is just a bit outdated... More

Stayed here on an Intrepid Basix tour and this hotel basically did what it says on the box. It is basic, no bones about it, but the location is great, it is clean and I didn't really find anything to complain about. My room was on level 4 and consisted of 1 double bed. The sink is in the bedroom... More

Our backpacking tour company booked us into this hotel. The staff were nice enough but the hotel itself was poor. It's really well located but our room had a window onto the corridor to the lift. Down the corridor was a light well above the restaurant. Which meant the room was fairly dingy and we heard everything that happened in... More

I was in the hotel two nights during an organized tour. The good point is the location, walking distance from the main square. Otherwise the hotel is old and smelly, with no light in the rooms which are located around a central hall (or better hole?) so that it strongly reminds of the structure of a prison. The service is... we had to move after the second night, but should have moved immediately. they had put something that produced a noxious gas down the bathroom drains that literally gagged us...we were with a group of museum guides from the national hispanic cultural center in albuquerque nm and had been promised a breakfast that changed to juice coffee and toast after... Stayed at San Angel for 2 nights as part of a tour. My friend and I shared a room with double beds each. The bathroom, toilet and shower over bath, was small and tired, but had no issues with cleanliness. The basin is located in the main room, which is the bedroom. This room was quite spacious and more than... More
