So the Hotel Casa de la Palma in Puebla has a charm all its own. You're in Mexico so ignore the bad reviews or ones from people complaining about it not being up to standard - it is up to standard, its just not up to the standard of a new hotel - why? Because it's not a new hotel.... More

First off, there are two Hotel Casa de las Palma hotels. They are side-by-side. The hotel where we are is the Boutique hotel on the corner. The tariff is just 900 pesos a night, or $67. We are world travelers and would characterize this room as luxurious. This hotel has some bad reviews, but maybe those are for the sister... More

The only access to many of the rooms on the second (and third?) floors is along a narrow walkway suspended above the courtyard, and there is no other egress or fire escape. Given that this is a very old house with lots of wood and wood furnishings, this is a serious fire risk that cannot possibly be up to code.... More

The hotel is very badly maintained. All the common areas are dusty. Our room has a strong smell to sylicon glue combined with sewage and coffee (coffee maket placed in the bathroom) (!). The shower was a disgrace, the lowest quality and during the night I couldn't get hot water. The shower flooded so my husband couldn't take a shower.... More

This was the first time we traveled to Puebla, i found this hotel in trip advisor, i booked the suite, the place was easy to find, just one block from the zocalo, the people very helpful, the rooms bigs and rustic, i loved it. Era la primera vez que viajabamos a Puebla, y me encontre este hotel en trip advisor,... More

Two friends and me stayed there one night, each one in his own room. They seem all different and have their own decoration, spacious and clean. I stayed at the Casa de la Palma Boutique while my buddies stayed at the Casa de la Palma Traveler (next door). My room was very quite (Room No 204, "Suite Botero") and had... More

Believe me when I say it's all about "location"! This hotel was the perfect place for us to get to know Puebla. We were able to walk everywhere and return midday for a rest before heading out again for the evening. We chose a top floor room with a balcony and slept with the windows open every night. We got... We reserved four nights at this hotel at the 'booking' web site, based on the photos of the rooms that looked spacious and elegant. In reality, the hotel is shabby at best, decrepit and ill-maintained. Since we arrived late at night, we took a room, deciding in the morning that we had to find a better hotel for our stay... More

There are 2 hotels next to each other. I stayed at both of them on different nights. I actually bounced back and forth between Puebla and some other cities during a couple of weeks so I stayed in 4 different rooms at the 2 places depending on what was available and the best value. Every one of them had it's... More

Only have good things to say! - Polite, understanding staff at front desk, all of whom spoke English (just a bit of a bonus, saved us fumbling with our limited Spanish). - Huge, clean room and bathroom off a beautiful courtyard. Bed was very comfortable. - Perfect location, just off the Zocalo. - The cost of the room was exceptionally... More
