This was a family trip and other then the hotel where we stayed ( Howard Johnson ) I had a good expierance. First off you get what you pay for. I did think it was to cheap to be good but took the chance anyways... I regret it. We arrived Sunday afternoon and came to find out that los Federales... More

I spent the first weekend in July this year at this hotel and it was quite satisfactory in view of the price. The hotel is an older property and the furnishings were also very worn but the HoJo is nicely located near the old historic center of the city and this was a great place to explore and shop. I... Although the room was dark and warm for this month of June, we thought it was adequate and suited our needs just fine. We ate at the restaurant there for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and the food was good and tasty. Overall, we enjoyed our stay there.

From descriptions back in 2003, 2005 and 2006 it would appear that much has changed for the better. We stayed almost a week and found the hotel and staff very enjoyable. The hotel owner Cecilio is a very humble man and we learned he is a member of the Zacatecas Lions Club serving the community. While the air conditioning was... More

I requested a room change 4 times in one night. The rooms are either smelly, or dirty, or the facilities (toilets, etc), didn't work. I also had a rainleak right in my bed. That was not all. When we left our room to visit downtown, the housekeeping staff opened my bags and stole my iPod and cell phone. Talking to... More

First of all, there was a terrible moisture smell in the room. We moved to a front room but was cold and noisy. Elevators were almost out of service. The pool was dirty and the filtration system was'nt working at all!! Price was high!! Rotten ratio price/quality!! Our car has been splashed with blue paint. Overall it was a truly... More

Well it was ok but my family was having a party for my uncle's wedding and then the lights went out. We asked for somethings and we ended up receiving them the next day.

1) Don't believe the "3 blocks from the Cathedral" in their literature. It's more like 6 or 8.2) A/C in our room didn't work, and elongated toilet bowl had a "standard" seat mounted on it.3) The underground garage is handy and gave later access to items left in our car. Security seemed adequate.4) Notwithstanding these comments, this hotel was OK... More
