I arrived in Morelia a lone traveler. Rose, the owner, operator, and hostess of Casona Rosa, welcomed me to her lovely B&B, and made me feel so at home. She introduced me to her friends, set me up with an excellent driver, recommended resturants and "must see" sights in beautiful Morelia and the surrounding towns. I fell in love with... More

My wife and I had a wonderful tome in Morelia, in Michoacán and especially at Casona Rosa. Rose was an exceptional host who went out her way to make our trip care-free. She made excellent restaurant recommendations. She accompanied us on a trip to visit nearby craft villages - because of her own genuine interest and knowledge - and arranged... More

We stayed there over winter solstice. Rose is a great hostess and the place was so lovely with Christmas decorations. We even got Christmas cookies! Morelia is so fun to visit at that time of year. If you're going to visit the Mariposas Monarcas, definitely take the autopista though! The overland route through Cd. Hidalgo took several hours! I highly... More

Beautiful house in the best location of town, the room is spacious and colorfull. Rose is the warmest host! she was always willing to help us and make us feel at home. We even got to meet her friends who were really nice and fun. The ladies that work with her at home are also really nice and helpful. Everything... More

I watched the video on the Casona Rosa website (check it out!) an immediately fell in love and knew I'd feel right at home. From my first conversation with Rose a few weeks before our trip I knew we were in excellent hands - Rose is attentive and thoughtful and was a great resource for things to do, see, and... More

I was in Morelia for the film festival. Although Rose was not personally there to greet us when we checked in, she did everything she could beforehand to make the process seamless. Lupe, the housekeeper, was there to help us move in and get us settled - she is an absolute sweetheart. The location is perfect, right in the city... More

Within minutes of walking through the front doors of Casona Rosa I knew I was home. I was greeted by the owner, Rose and a gorgeous entryway filled with flowers, plants and local art. Once led to my room, the Monarcha Suite, I was able to catch my breath from my days of travel. When I was ready to explore,... More

We are very thankful that we picked Casa Rose for our stay in Morelia. We stayed over the holidays in 2013 and we felt like we were a very welcome guest in Rose's Casa. In fact, it work well to just treat it as our own and feel relaxed in the common areas in particular the kitchen. Our family (two... More

What perfect timing to hear from you as I am in the midst of setting up Christmas decorations for this year......and so I can't help thinking about how lovely it was last year having you and your family here. Your children made our Christmas so special. I still have my toy gift front and center in the Michoacan wooden toy... More

Stumbled upon this place by chance. Lucky me. Quiet but just two blocks from the city center. Great patio. beautiful rooms, each one a bit different from the other. Small place, so people actually know who you are and what you want. Very friendly. I was in Michoacan for Dia de Muertos and Rose helped a lot to get me... More

My husband & I just spent 5 nights at Casona Rosa! A very charming B&B with a charming owner, Rose! Great staff & service! Wonderful art throughout the B&B. Really enjoyed our stay there! Easy walking distance to just about anywhere in historical centro...great location! Day of the Dead celebrations were everywhere!! An easy, quick 45 minute dive to Patzcuaro... More
