What began as a questionable experience, ended up contributing to an excellent first visit to Morelia. Manager María made all the difference, quickly ensuring that our discomfort was remedied. May is perhaps the hottest month to visit Morelia. The room initially booked, Frida, is on the upper level (as is another suite). We had booked Frida not realizing that we... More

We stayed at this beautiful casa for one night in April and we absolutley loved it! When we reached we were greeted by the extremely warm and helpful Maria with a heartfelt 'Me casa es su casa'. Walking into the house, we were absolutely stunned by the beautiful interiors. We were fortunate enough to get an upgrade and what an... More

Casa Rosa is a great place to stay in Morelia. It is lovely, comfortable, and within a stone´s throw of practically everything that makes Morelia wonderful. But best of all Rose's little inn is where you meet incredibly fascinating people. It is a traveler´s inn. Oh sure, you can hole up if you want to, but sitting on the patio... More

I have just read the reviews and I am in complete agreement. Ground transportation provided by the capable and charming, Jesus. The management: provided by the attractive, caring, and efficient Maria, is just about perfect. Proprietor Rose's infectious love for Morelia and the State of Michoacan shines through when she takes you on a tour of the house, a day... More

There is a reason this property remains #1. If we hadn't experienced it for ourselves would have been hard pressed to believe this place exists. We had the good fortune to stay here for 3 nights in February. On our arrival we were greeted with a heartfelt hug and "welcome to our home" from Maria. As Maria led us inside... More

What sets Casona Rosa apart from all the rest is its staff: Rosa, the owner; Maria, the house manager; Jesus, the guide and transporter extraordinaire. My husband and I were greeted like beloved family who had returned from a long trip. We were served an excellent breakfast and other meals upon request. When I wasn't feeling well, Maria tended to... Three days at the Casona Rosa ( the new addition to the Casa Rosa) was most memorable. The lodgings themselves would be enough to write about as they are whimsical, clean, comfortable and exotic, but the people including the manager, Maria and the taxi driver, Jesus, go out of their way to make your stay what you want. It is... More

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying 5 nights at Casa Rosa. All the basics are covered quite well. Casa Rosa is absolutely clean, beds are excellent, exceptionally comfortable, rooms are spacious with outstanding decorations, location is a short 5 minute walk to the Cathedral which is the center of the historical downtown area. Lounging areas at the... More

All the rave reviews are correct. Joanne and I stayed only two nights while passing through Morelia... we will be back, soon, for a longer stay. Maria and Rose make you feel "at home"... you must stay for breakfast!!! We had a LARGE suite with two LARGE rooms each with tables, couches, dressers... actually, we had more space than if... More
