I've stayed at the Hotel Alameda three times before. I was struck immediately upon checking in today (yes, I am writing this review from inside the room I am reviewing) that the hotel staff was not as professional as before, the hotel overall was not as clean, and that the overall apperance and atmoshere was considerably diminished compared with my... more

We stayed there for three nights and got one night free which made our stay great value. Beds are firm and comfy, bathroom spotless. Staff are very friendly. The carpark is close by. We stayed in the colonial part that has a lot more character than the new part. We also ate in the restaurant, good service, nice food. decently... more

The hotel is very beautiful! The bar is updated and modern, but that's about it. The bed's are INCREDIBLY hard, not just stiff, but very hard to sleep in. I hardly slept at all!! But since I didn't plan on spending too much time int he room I didn't worry too much about amenities or anything else, this is a... more

As mentioned in previous reviews, the location is unbeatable. Directly on a charming zocalo with imposing cathedral and numerous restaurants and bars. Sections of the hotel are built in older buildings with courtyards and interesting architecture. With that said, I was pretty unhappy with my room. I reserved a king bed room, but received two small twins. The room had... more

Mar 25, 2008 | Trip type: Family

My family stayed at this hotel for 2 nights -- basically a good experience. When we first arrived both of our rooms had a number of problems -- there were lights not working in both rooms (and lighting was limited even with all lights working). One of the switches gave our bellman a shock when he tried to turn it... more

This is a top option in Morelia if you are looking for a nice location downtown. They are steps away from the Candy Market, the Cathedral, and the arcs, where you will find some restraurants and caffe. The staff is very kind and you will have a very pleasant stay. I try to stay at this hotel everytime in Morelia. more

I spent 2 nights here. Can't beat the location, right on the main Plaza. Safe Parking garage very close by. Airconditioning. Friendly efficient staff. I did not eat at the restaurant but it did look good. I think I paid $85.00 per night. No noise issues. Good shopping near by. I will stay here on my next trip to Morellia.... more

I stayed in the older part of the hotel which is definitely quieter than the new. However, while the design is attractive - all built around courtyards - this leads to noiuse spiralling up from the cathedral bells that toll every hour, the traffic and the hotel's own live music. I stayed during the celebrations of the birth of Morales... more
