I stayed this time on the 2nd floor. Elevators are available, the rooms are spacious, clean, with air conditioning, TV, coffee pot, a large bathroom and attentive staff. the hotel is right across from the city square and a block from the Cathedral. Lots of shops close by and plenty of activity as this citry is very lively, but not... More

The hotel could not be better situated: right on the Plaza de Armes, the views from the rooms balconies look right out into the square. Everywhere you could possibly want to go in town is walking distance from the hotel as well. The staff is extremely friendly, warm, and helpful. The rooms are small, but clean and well-suited for travelers.... More

I did not expect Sherry-Netherland opulence & neither should you. This is a fine hotel that offers very comfortable rooms in a location that cannot be beat. The restaurant is excellent & has a few dishes (off menu) that are among the best things I've ever eaten. The rates are certainly reasonable & the staff are always accommodating. Some of... More

We stayed at this hotel two nights in April. The Hotel Casino Morelia has a privileged location opposite the Plaza de Armas, Benito Juarez Monument, and diagonal to the Cathedral of Morelia. The hotel is a well preserved but generally very simple in decor and barely furnished common areas historic building. The staff is attentive and reception can give you... More

I paid about $50/night. Credit cards accepted. Nice hotel, nice building. Restaurant onsite which I did not care for (the included breakfast sucked), but a plethora of other dining options are very close by. Room wasn't huge, but very modern, clean, and comfortable. Wifi. Good business center. Staff was OK. Location is terrific--the cathedral is right outside. Banks and an... More

Awesome experience. Customer service excellent!! Very clean and employees very courteous. Very safe to walk any hr. Day or night. Hotel Casino is in front of The Cathedral of Morelia, very centric and beautiful views. You can learn more about the history of Mexico just walking around and visiting different landmarks for free. I pay $140 for 2 rooms with... More

Great location at Morelia's core downtown block and in front of the Cathedral, decent clean rooms, nothing fancy really. But wait, go to the Restaurant to be amazed with the delicacies of the local cuisine. If you feel venturous, try the white almond mole, the chocolate lava cake and local beers during the happy hour.

I stayed in the hotel two years ago, and it was fine, not great, but we found at the time that the restaurant (Lu's) served wonderful, exquisite desserts. So I went back there just for that, and found the desserts, especially the chocolate lava-type cakes to be to die for. My sweetie and I went for dessert twice in five... More

Have stayed here a couple of times in the past. The hotel is in the premier hotel location in Morelia - right across the street from the cathedral and zocalo. The hotel has been re-done but still maintains the traditional look. The front desk staff were efficient and friendly. The room was spotlessly clean. The bathroom was function and had... More

Once you check in, a maid comes to check "occupancy" or whatever that is.... just to check if you are in the room which seemed weird. After we had settled in, we left for an hour, came back to find things moved and the tv on. When in the counter to file the complaint, they told us that the maids... More
