Great Location. There WILL be lots of noise all day Saturday, starting at about 8AM, but that is because the hotel is situated right on the Plaza. It is worth it, if you don't intend to nap during the day or sleep late. Also, on Saturday night at about 9 PM there are fireworks right out front--so don't expect to... more

This is the fourth time we've stayed at the Hotel Casino in the center of Morelia (2009, 2006, 2004 & 2002). Each time we've had the children with us and have gotten two rooms. In 2001 we stayed at a different downtown hotel but the street noise was unbearable. I like the Hotel; it's in the center of town, clean,... more

The hotel exterior and lobby arelovely, as is the location - it dominates the cities main square, where everything happens. We had to pay in advance here, and I can understand why - if you where to see the rooms first, you would likely run. Imagine an office building in the 70's, complete with temporary celings. Most views from this... more

We stayed two nights here in a suite with king size bed. Be sure and negotiate a rate, especially in the "off season". They are willing to deal to get your business. Our price ended up at about $75 USD per night. The nice part about this hotel other than a perfect location is they have free ice, free laundry... more

We stayed at the Best Western Hotel Casino at the end of a 15-day vacation in colonial Mexico, and felt that its strengths clearly outweighed its few deficiencies. The hotel's two greatest strengths are its location and its friendly, competent English-speaking front desk staff. The hotel is located in absolutely the center of town, facing the central square (zocalo? jardin?--I... more

Our reservation was made three months in advance. A King room and late arrival were guaranteed to our AMEX, which was important, as we were visiting El Rosario Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary en route to Morelia from Mexico City...a long day. Our reservation was not honored. We were told that the room was occupied by a guest who failed to check... more

The location is very good at the heart of downtown, just infront of the cathedral and in the Arcs zone. Unfurnatelly when inside the feeling about the lobby was poor. To be honest the rooms are very small, the bed is not one of those confortables and the bathroom is extremelly simple. If you want to have a pleasant night,... more

Terrific location - across from Plaza de Armas and the cathedral. This Best Western is unique and priced well. Secure, valet parking in included. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was large, and despite facing the main street, was quiet. We will stay here again. more

Fantastic location -right across from the Plaza de Armas in Morelia. Our room had a balcony facing the plaza, and we enjoyed watching the Day of the Dead celebration. There was also a political rally with a live concert and fireworks. What a fiesta! If you're looking for quiet, request a room away from the street. We happened to enjoy... more

We stayed three nights at the Hotel Casino and they were some of the best three nights I have stayed in a Mexican hotel. The hotel has a great location, it is clean, the staff is attentive and helpful and most of all they have non-smoking rooms. In Mexico a Casino is not a gambling establishment it is simply a... more
