Let's start with the good. The ocean (for which the hotel gets no credit :), beach, pools, and the actual service staff were lovely. However, what was outstandingly bad was the managerial staff and larger customer service! From arbitrarily not accepting US dollars (my chosen form or payment) because American tellers write numbers on the bills as they count them... More

My family of five spent seven nights at this hotel over New Years. Upon booking, we requested two connecting rooms and with this being our third All-Inclusive vacation (not including cruises), planned on taking advantage of the resorts' multiple pools, swim-up bars, activities, and multiple restaurants. In summary, the two categories that the hotel disappointed was in the quality of... More

I recently spent six days at the Hotel Presidente over New Years. While overall it was an enjoyably stay and I loved the grounds, there were a few things I was not happy with. First, as some of the other posts noted, the rooms are a bit older than other hotels. I particularly felt the bathrooms were due for an... More

We were at this hotel the same week as the author of the previous post, yet from his comments, I feel like we stayed at a completely different resort! While not perfect, our experience was a very positive one. Although I must admit that my first impressions were not great, since the lobby is rather spartan, and is badly in... More

Spent 4 nights from 12/25/06-12/29/06. After checking into our initial room where the A/C was not working, we were promptly accommodated to a room change (slight upgrade) at the far north end of the property. This room had a balcony that overlooked the ocean and had very little noise other than the waves crashing on the beach. The Presidente is... More

great location, great food, great activities - very well maintained landscape - excellent staff service - best concierge desk but rooms were not intercon standards. instead very similar to motel 6 rooms. bath door did not close nor lock, staff ignored request to fix problem in the friendilest way by promising to fix it each day. i am back home... I recently returned from the Intercontinental Presidente in Los Cabos where my family and I enjoyed our trip but felt the hotel fell short of many of the five star resorts that we have stayed at. The property wasn't as nice: hotels rooms are old decor with very small and dated washrooms. There is no evening entertainment/shows and little to... More

If you do not appreciate melted Velveeta over chips, this is not the hotel for you. Beautiful beach and pool, convenient to San Jose, but the bathrooms are very old and outdated and rooms very average. Food and service poor. Thought the all inclusive would be good for drinks and snacks, but even the margaritas were cheap and watered down... More

Just returned from staying at the El Presidente and was not impressed. Grounds and pool area is quite nice but not much else. The level of service and food choices is well below other all-inclusive places I've been too in Mexico. We never once got a time share / membership pitch in the hotel like everyone else has complained about... More

My wife and I had read many positive reviews on Trip Advisor about the El Presidente before we booked this recent trip and we’re completely dumbfounded as to where the 4 and 5 star reviews are coming from. We would strongly recommend you not stay at this hotel and the following is why. My wife and I just returned from... More
