“Great Old Affordable Hotel”

You can't beat the Mar de Cortez for the money. Yes it's an old hotel but they keep it up pretty well. Just don't expect any luxury amenities. But you will feel you stepped back in time. “The friendliest place and best location in Cabo!”

We have stayed here at least once a year since 1995. The front desk staff,Ana, is wonderful. The rooms are clean and quiet. We can and have walked to anyplace we want to. A pleasant 10 minute walk to the beach. We could stay anywhere.... we choose the Mar de Cortez!!!!

“Good Value, Friendly and Great Location”

My wife and I just spent 3 nights at the hotel, our first NON all inclusive stay anywhere and really enjoyed it. I regularly stay at Mar de Cortez, it's clean, reasonable, all the staff are wonderful. Spring break is a very busy and rowdy time in Cabo, the hotel hires extra security for their guests, only hotel guests are allowed in. Just stayed our first night and we were roused by raucous partiers at 6:00 am this morning still drunk from yesterday. Mar de Cortez is a quaint mexican hotel which central to downtown Cabo San Lucas. Rooms were very clean. The staff were friendly and welcoming. WIFI is available throughout the hotel.The hotel attracts return vacationer because of it friendly atmosphere.
