I love this place, we only used the hotel for sleeping and storing our clothes. We were at the beach the remainder of the time. The Mar de Cortez had just what I was looking for, peace and quiet. A restaurant with good food, bar and a pool. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It's located in the downtown area and just a short walk to the harbor, beach and shopping. I had a great time. more

Over the past 10 years I've stayed at the Hotel Mar de Cortez perhaps 15 or 16 times! I've made great, long lasting friends by meeting people at the pool or on our varanda's. If you don't meet some great people or staff at the Mar then you sure aren't enjoying what they have to offer. I like this hotel... more

Great little place in walking distance of everything downtown, wharf, etc. Safe to walk from/to Hotel to all the nightlife activities anytime. We've stayed here on several occasions and just love it. It is right in the heart of Cabo San Lucas' shopping and eateries. You really feel like you are in Mexico, not in a timeshare that you can find anywhere. You wake up in the morning to mexican music playing, the restaurant "Spencer's" is absolutely the best that we've eaten... more

I have stayed at the Mar De Cortez hotel 15 times since January of 1999. It is a clean quiet place with it's own bar and restaurant. The hotel is classed as "economy" but has a large open area with a 3 level pool for all ages. No phones, I like that, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. more

The folks that operate this hotel do so in a professional, yet friendly manner. I was very pleased with my stay there. I was only there for 4 nights, but I'm going back in October and plan to stay two weeks, or longer. It had everything I needed, pool, restaurant, bar and very helpful staff. more
