We were the only ones on the beach (or so it seemed). This is THEE BEST trip I have ever had. This hotel isn't the sell-out resort with 2000 rooms and non-customer friendly staff. No! This hotel really cares about their patrons. I am an owner at Solmar and have been going there every year for the past 10 years. I have always had a wonderful time and look forward to going back each year. This year was a whole different story. We stayed at solmar in november. We arrived and they let us know that our ocean view room wasnt ready. They put us in a different room, and moved us to the ocean view room the next day. This was a bit of a hastle, but they moved all of the luggage and were very apologetic, so no big deal.... more
