The Horse & Groom never disappoints. Sally & Simon always go the extra mile to ensure you have a great experience & leave happy & full. An extensive seasonal menu offers locally sourced ingredients, beautifully presented & full of flavour. A great Cotswold pub with outstanding food, attentive staff in a stylish country setting – Faultless!

We have used the Horse and Groom as our base for the Cheltenham Festival for the past 10 years. Simon and Sally are delightful owners who go out of their way to accomodate a clientele that is frequently over refreshed from a day at the races. The full Monty breakfast is truly historic and challenges even the healthiest appetite. Stand... More

We dropped by this restaurant on a recent visit to the Cotswolds, we found it to be a friendly welcoming atmosphere, with great food and well kept beer. We had not booked beforehand, but I think it would be better if dining at peak times, to avoid reappointment. The food was very well prepared and delicious, it is a Michelin... More

My wife and I have just returned from a short two night stay at what has to be the most comfortable, friendly village Inn in the Cotswolds. Having dropped in at an off chance to ask if there was any rooms available I was met by a young man who met me with a generous smile and a welcome, chose... More

When in the Cotswolds, this is a must-do restaurant. We stayed nearby for two weeks and just kept going back, despite there being some really wonderful alternatives in the vicinity. The menu is clever, ever changing due to availability of local fresh produce and balanced by an exceptional wine list (for a country pub), which host Simon takes great pride... More

Just returned to Australia after holidaying in teh UK. Last 5 nights of the holiday we stayed in Upper Oddington and discovered this absoloute gem of a pub. Old World Village charm oozes a plenty. Owner Simon is very friendly and will tip you into a good wine to go with your meal. The food is great, very well presented... More

We stayed here as it was in a useful location for our dinner at The Fox in Oddington, which was full that night. Our party had two of the bedrooms and while we were the only ones staying with them, their restaurant was fully booked for dinners that night. We popped down to the bar before leaving for the evening... More

Just stayed there 2 nights. Service is first class. Simon is delightful. Breakfast is wonderful. Poached eggs done to perfection. They come looking like they are in a pinched purse. Simon told us it forms when the eggs are dropped into a deep pot of boiling water. The white cooks on the way down. Then the eggs float up ready... More

We spent a wonderful night at the Horse and Groom, escaping from the busy city to find exactly what we'd hoped for from our Cotswolds mini-break - a beautiful setting, fantastic food, and really hospitable hosts. We loved our room, with its en suite bathroom up the wonky wooden staircase, and had a really delicious dinner in the lovely bar... More
