We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! There are two rooms available for booking and during our two night stay, the other room was not booked. What a treat to have the place to ourselves. We had booked the Mountain Sunrise room and it was beautiful to see the sun in the morning over Robert's Mountain. There is a deck on... More

We stayed at the Poplar B&B for three days and had a very enjoyable time. There are two rooms available and although the rooms are small, they are very clean, comfortable, and a great value. Both rooms have ensuite baths and shampoo, soap and hairdryers are provided. Towels are changed daily and our sheets were changed after the second day.... More

My girlfriend and I spent two nights at the Poplar B and B in late September and were really pleased to have made the choice to stay here. And while Cheticamp is fairly close by and has more restaurants and conveniences, Pleasant Bay is charming in its serenity and beauty. The owners of The Poplar, Brian and Elizabeth are gracious... We spent one night here in Pleasant Bay on our Cabot Trail Tour. Brian and Elizabeth were great hosts, welcoming us warmly to their home. The room was compact but efficient and very clean. The breakfast was simpler(continental) than the other B+Bs that we stayed at but very good. Elizabeth also hosted us at the Rusty Anchor for dinner (great... More

Elizabeth and Brian made us very welcome to their home. The accommodation was very clean and quiet. The kitchen was well equipped for us to make our own breakfast. We had dinner at the Rusty Anchor, as recommended. An ideal place to stay before heading across to the east coast.

Spent two nights at the Poplar B & B based on trip advisor reviews. Brian and wife provide a very good option and value for the price paid. Only two rooms in this facility . Property is very clean and provides private bath and continental breakfast of cereals, muffins, juices, yogurts, fruit and some very good coffee. Coffee is from... More

We stayed two days in Pleasant Bay at the Poplar. Loved the place, wonderful Innkeepers, clean, the room would be a little small if you are a large person but other than that we had a remarkable time hiking and enjoying the outdoors in the park. A great value for the $$.

The Poplar B&B was a wonderful surprise along our Cabot trail expedition. We hadn't reserved a room, lucky for us they had a cancellation and we were able to scoop it up. The owners Brian and Elizabeth are wonderful, friendly and courteous. We stayed in the Mountain Sunrise room. The room was a good size, no real "extra" space but... More

The Poplar was our first B&B that we stayed in on the Cabot Trail, and it was a very nice experience. It was comfortable, clean, and Brian and Elizabeth were very nice hosts. For the price, the experience was just perfect. The room is just big enough, the washroom was small, but that wasn't a bad thing. The B&B was... More

We really enjoyed our stay at the Poplar.....it was very clean and exceeded our expectations. Liz and Brian were great hosts and made us feel very welcome. The price value relationship was excellent and this was one of our favorite B&B's that we visited during our 9 days in the Maritimes. The whale watching tour offered nearby was great as... More
