Great service, pleasant surroundings. Stay a few days and walk through town to see the mission and stop at cafes. Longer excursions to see archeological sites/cave paintings and whale whatching available.

The hotel is located a few minutes walk from the lovely small town of the same name amidst a lush oasis. Like other Desert Inns run by the government, the spacious rooms surround a large courtyard. Internet signal from room was weak but passable, though could not use Skype.

We've stayed here on two different trips to the lagoon. For some reason, it's more difficult to get a reservation if you use the number given by Expedia -- or try to book online. Since this hotel chain has switched from La Pinta to Desert Inn a lot of upgrades have happened. Pool is more inviting, rooms cleaner, and overall just nicer. Like most Baja hotels, beds are on the hard side but we slept great. Great staff + Great location in an amazingly quite, peaceful place.
