This pub has undergone many changes in the twenty five years we have frequented it. Unfortunately the move into brewery ownership two years or so ago has seen it deteriorate from a bustling spot where you were pushed to get a table inside or out. We visited tonight at the height of the summer season and by 8.30pm the place... More

We stayed at the Mason's Arms for one night only, 2 of us in a room in the main building and one in a cottage just across the beautiful garden. This is a very well looked after pub/hotel with restaurant set in beautiful grounds and walking distance to the beach and the centre of the village. Our room was small... More

Stayed here one night as a treat in the best of weather. Almost too hot ! Cottage rooms a quirky delight but very comfortable. Lovely beds. Perfect view of Devon countryside. Staff were all excellent friendly and attentive . Delicious breakfast with all the extras. Brilliant evening meal with Rattler perry and cava , just look at the fresh strawberries... More

We stayed 3 nights, in one of the outside cottages with our Labrador. Wish we could've stayed longer, it was so lovely. The village is idyllic and the Masons Arms is full of character, and offers a very warm welcome. The room was lovely with a beautiful view. It was very clean and perfect for managing with a four legged... More

Stumbled on this beautiful pub by chance when we got slightly lost. Had the best fish and chips ever washed down with Korev which is Cornish lager and makes a change from the mass produced foreign stuff that most of the pubs do nowadays. Location is a tiny little village within the East Devon countryside which is stunning

Although we only had one night in Branscombe we enjoyed our stay. The staff were very helpful and friendly particularly Anna and Chelsea. We're looking forward to seeing the new restaurant and doing a bit more exploring when we're back in September.

Branscombe is a beautiful place to stay, and the room we had at the masons arms was lovely. I felt that the food and drink was a bit overpriced though which was a downside, and because in the evening it is a faff to drive through the narrow country lanes I expect most pele do not bother! We found some... More

Just returned from a lovely walking weekend stay at the Masons Arms in Branscombe. The weather was fantastic so that was an added bonus. We just wanted to say a big thank you to Tiibor (known as Tibbie) and all the restaurant staff. We were a group of 10 and the service was brilliant nothing was too much. The food... More

Some of us walked over the cliffs from Beer (about an hour for oldies) and others came by car and were lucky to find a space in the car park behind the pub. We have stayed in the long past under different owners, and very good it was then too. This time we were there only for a reviving lunch... More

We only stayed here for 1 night as a base to explore the surrounding area. The rooms were very clean, comfortable and well stocked-lots of tea, coffee and bottled water. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The breakfast was excellent-real coffee and more on offer than a full english! Branscombe itself is a very pretty village. The beach is only 10... More
