What a fantastic 4 nights we had, only wish it had been longer. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Lovely room, very clean and much attention to detail. The restaurant was lovely and the food superb. Simon the manager was very helpful suggesting places to go and park and rides etc. He was helpful in everyway and we... More

This village is stunning ,it is the stuff of 19th century poetry. After a hair raising drive to get here with impossibly narrow two way roads one expects to be met with a degree of hospitality that would match the beauty of the location. This was not the case, as guests we seemed to be an inconvenience to the staff,... More

We were recommended to the Masons Arms and we really looking forward to our weekend away. It is in a wonderful location, however several things for us let it down. The first thing being our room @ £375.00 for the weekend. There were several mirrors, all of which had obviously been wiped with a dirty cloth so we're covered in... More

We only spent one night at the masons Arms but had a lovely room in the main building with a wonderfully comfortable bed. We ate in the restaurant. It was a Friday night and very busy. We would have not got in had we not booked in advance.

It was 2005 when I last visited the Mason's Arms in Branscombe. I knew it had been taken over by St Austell's Brewery, but that didn't bother my wife or I. After a booking cock-up on my part, the hosts generously let us have the Branscombe Room cottage at my original price. The cottage was fantastic; large, comfy, superbly clean... More

This pub has undergone many changes in the twenty five years we have frequented it. Unfortunately the move into brewery ownership two years or so ago has seen it deteriorate from a bustling spot where you were pushed to get a table inside or out. We visited tonight at the height of the summer season and by 8.30pm the place... More

We stayed at the Mason's Arms for one night only, 2 of us in a room in the main building and one in a cottage just across the beautiful garden. This is a very well looked after pub/hotel with restaurant set in beautiful grounds and walking distance to the beach and the centre of the village. Our room was small... More

We stayed 3 nights, in one of the outside cottages with our Labrador. Wish we could've stayed longer, it was so lovely. The village is idyllic and the Masons Arms is full of character, and offers a very warm welcome. The room was lovely with a beautiful view. It was very clean and perfect for managing with a four legged... More

Stumbled on this beautiful pub by chance when we got slightly lost. Had the best fish and chips ever washed down with Korev which is Cornish lager and makes a change from the mass produced foreign stuff that most of the pubs do nowadays. Location is a tiny little village within the East Devon countryside which is stunning
