Stayed only one night at this hotel en-route to Pic du Midi and enjoyed it. The hotel has very modern rooms and the beds are the most comfortable throughout our two weeks in France. We had two rooms facing the front overlooking the Pyrennes mountains. There is a minor road in front but few cars use it in the night... More

My partner and I stayed at this hotel for a night to visit the gavarnie waterfall. Finding the hotel was very easy and parking was too. We were greated warmly and shown to our room with no fuss. The room itself (we were in room 2) was a little small but for the price it was well equipped and comfy.... More

We booked to stay two nights – but enjoyed it so much we extended it to three. What a lovely hotel. Our room was spotlessly clean, great view, and the bed/bedding is as comfortable as the reviews say. It’s a perfect base for hiking/biking. The restaurant for dinner (or terrace for lunch) is really well worth stopping/going out of your... More

My travelling partner and I stayed here for 3 nights. The food was amazing, the service was excellent and the rooms were large and modern. The added bonus of being in the centre of a set of roads that led to the major walks was certainly beneficial. This is a great hotel. Our car was damaged by the mountain driving... More

We stayed for one night in June and found the Hotel to be in a very peaceful location with lovely views out of our bedroom window of "Le Breche de Roland" (La Brèche de Roland is the name of a natural gap in the Pyrenees). Very clean well equipped room with a very comfy bed. We had a lovely meal... More

The rooms are large and modern. The toilet and shower are separated, which reduces queuing. Dinner main specialty is "civet" a delicious lamb stewed in red wine with cloves and other spices which I enjoyed but could not identify. The trout also looked good. The bread was country style, much fresher than an industrial baguette. Breakfast selection is very generous.... More

This was our first visit and we had a wonderful time. Odile and Philippe are so welcoming and the food was excellent and the wine too! The view from the dining room is spectacular and the hotel is in the perfect place for walking in the Pyrenees as not far from Gavarnie. Our room was very comfortable and surprisingly quiet... More

We returned to this charming hotel with friends. Once again the owners/staff were welcoming. The rooms are beautifully appointed, clean and well maintained. We had demi pension and could chose from 5 different starters, mains and desserts each night. The breakfasts are good and varied. Even when the hotel is full the service is efficient and the breakfast buffet is... More

Fantastic find in the Pyrenees, enjoyed our stay so much, can't wait to be going back this year. Nothing to fault about this hotel and restaurant with wonderful hosts. Food, comfort, scenery, perfect place to stay!
