Cowscott is a stone built former farm house with former cow byers which have been tastefully converted to bedrooms. All furniture, carpets, beds and bedding to a high standard, room well decorated. Lovely patio area outside in a sun trap. Down side, We visited in January/February during a very cold spell. The wall mounted radiator was full on 21 hours... More

Dear Gordon, Hope you had a good trip home. Thank you for your review. We always appreciate feedback and the time it take for guests to complete. It was as you say in your review an unusually cold weekend. We do have extra heaters that were available if you had mentioned being cold. With respect to the WiFi there is... More

2 couples stayed here recently and found it first class. We stayed in bedroom 1 and it is just as shown on the website. A tad smaller than other rooms - but we wanted the bath! It looks onto a very quiet back lane - as seen on photos - but it is very quiet. The other couple stayed in... More

I stayed here with my husband and three children in late August for two nights. The room was clean and comfortable, the breakfasts were amazing, and the little details, such as enough towels, homemade treats in the room, guidance on routes and where to eat etc, were all taken care of and more. Mike and Liz were particularly attentive and... More

My girlfriend and I celebrated our engagement with two nights at Cowscot House. We were very impressed by the warm welcome we got from our hosts Liz and Mike, the delicious breakfasts, the comfortable room and beautiful garden. We had a lovely time exploring the local area, particularly enjoying the idyllic town of Masham, the unusual Himalayan Gardens at Grewelthorpe... More

This B & B is the very best among B & B's. I've read a number of these excellent reviews and feel delighted that our feelings and experience agree with them all. Mike's attention is faultless and Liz's cooking prompt and perfect. The file in the room gives a number of places to eat during the day with their Menus... More

We recently stayed at Cowscot House and have to say it really is a great place to stay. Liz and Mike make you feel so welcome and the accommodation is pristine. The cooked breakfast is a must, beautiful. The dining room table is set each day with clean crisp white linen and spotless cutlery, it’s all perfect. An added bonus... More

We stayed for two nights in August whilst attending a friends nearby party. Having travelled from London we arrived very late and were delighted to be met by Liz and Mike despite the ungodly hour. The room was delightful and utterly, utterly spotless. Bed very comfy and surroundings and decor subtle and restful. Breakfast was delicious with full english, fruit,... More

Our stay of 2 nights was thoroughly enjoyable. The room was lovely, spacious and quiet. We were able to sit in the peaceful garden and enjoy the sun whilst eating homemade cakes and biscuits. The choice at breakfast was great with homemade yoghurt, bread, fruit compotes and jams followed by a full cooked breakfast and many other options were available... More
