We stayed at the Marinaterra Hotel before we began our dive trip on El Duque liveaboard. As a result of our dive trip, we received a special discount for our room that was excellent - less than $100 per night. The hotel is right on the marina, so it is a good location to start many activities in San Carlos.... More

The Marinaterra Hotel was most likely very nice when it first opened. However the property now looks old / dirty and is in need of a major renovations. Both rooms I stayed in had dirty linen on the bed (both spread and sheets). There was no hot water in the shower plus the water did not drain in the shower... More

This hotel was fantastic!!!!! I have no shortage of great things to say about this place!! The rooms were very nice and the staff even nicer!! They were extremely friendly, helpful and genuinely wanted to help!! I am bilingual so I think that helps a bit as people always like it when you speak their language, but I am extremely... More

We spent 2 nights here in March this year on our way to The Copper Canyon. The location of San Carlos is gorgeous - where the desert meets the sea with rocky hills surrounding. The hotel is on the harbour with a magnificent view out over the harbour to the inlet - beautiful at sunset. We had a marina view... More

I traveled with groups of 20 people to San Carlos for four years, and this was our hotel of choice. We traveled off season, and the staff were supportive of the group of young women and made sure we had options for kayaking, snorkeling, and going out on a sunset boat cruise.

We thought the hotel was perfect for our quick overnight stay. It had well equipped suites and was clean. We thought the staff was kind, courteous & helpful- the best part of this hotel! We were with a group on motorcycles & the staff was very accommodating. The walk down to the marina was beautiful, but would have loved to... More

My daughter and I stayed at the Marinaterra Hotel over Labor Day weekend while diving. The main room was very large, and included incredible views of the marina. Our sliding glass door led to a patio, or directly to the pool area. The room included a kitchenette, two large sofa/sleepers and a large, flat screen TV and remote controlled AC.... More
