Simply terrible, it does not reflect the great Mexican tourism service-level we are accustomed to. • Jr. Suites with doors of a very-low quality, kitchenette with no dishes, door locks that fail continuously • Lobby personnel with a very unfortunate attitude. If you are not a "member" of this facility, then you do not deserve of anything (dishes at your... More

Let's state the obvious...the views of the mountain/harbor are spectacular, especially during sunset. If you can score a room with a balcony to see this, you'll be impressed. Generally, hotel is averagely clean, various bugs in rooms (but this is Mexico!). Staff very friendly and attentive, food in the restaurant was very good and the breakfast buffet was brilliant (remember... More

The hotel has a wonderful view and the public areas are well maintained, but our room was very rundown. They are suite-type rooms with a bedroom, bath, and kitchen-living area. We had lovely view of the signature mountain (Teta Kawi) even though we were on the first floor and our patio opened to the marina. The suite door opened to... More

It's not the most modern or trendiest hotel by any means, but I like this place. It looks, feels and smells like a traditional Mexican resort should. I felt comfortable and at home here and for that reason we will be making this our home quite frequently on business trips to the San Carlos area. I really enjoy the restaurant.... More

Spent only 1 night here with a bus tour. The room I got was large & great view of the Marina from where we went on a boat tour of the bay with Garry's Dive shop. Meals were included with this tour & the food was good. It had a pool.

Stay there on business often as the location is convenient. Great cooked breakfast in the morning with a wonderful view of the marina and mountains. Nice gym that will open early if you ask, convenient to several nice restaurants. Rooms are somewhat tired but functional and cell phone and internet reception can be very spotty.

Checked in 9/19/2014 as part of a scuba-certification course and found a drab, out-dated facility that desperately needs a thorough updating... Stains on furniture cushions, chipped and cracked floor tiles, a marble sink & counter top that was nice at one time, perhaps, but no longer; lack of attention to housekeeping: dead crickets on the floor along with some previous... We stayed here as part of a Copper Canyon tour the second week of September. The hotel, grounds and the room were all very neat and clean, Our room, overlooking the marina had a large balcony, was spacious with a large and well equipped bathroom. Overall the room was in very good shape with the need for a bit of... More

I stayed here as part of my tour & found my room clean, VERY spacious & with beautiful views over the harbour. The staff were very friendly & helpful. We ate 3 meals at their restaurant & I really enjoyed each. A swim in the pool at the end of the day was a highlight.

We stayed at the Marinaterra Hotel before we began our dive trip on El Duque liveaboard. As a result of our dive trip, we received a special discount for our room that was excellent - less than $100 per night. The hotel is right on the marina, so it is a good location to start many activities in San Carlos.... More
