There are lots of reviews here that go on and on about how wonderful this place is, and I just want to sum up that it is all true -- and even if these reviews cause you to set high expectations, you will still be blown away when you go. By the way, the one negative review doesn't even apply... more

I spent nine fantastic days at the Oasis San Miguel de Allende. I traveled to San Miguel on a bit of a whim. So reservations were made at the last minute. But the truth is, no amount of planning and research would have resulted in a more perfect vacation. Hotel owners, Nancy and Mike are wonderful hosts. Along with their... more

My husband and I spent 4 nights in San Miguel as the first stop on our honeymoon. We loved our time at Oasis, which is ideally and conveniently located close to the Jardin and easy walking distance (even in heels, on cobblestones) to restaurants or the plaza to listen to Mariachis. We stayed in the lovely Sahara Suite, which was... more

A recent trip to San Miguel on business brought me once again to the Oasis which I found as pristine, serene and welcoming as ever -- from the attentive staff, to rooftop coctails watching the sun turn the church towers into living art pieces, to fabulous breakfasts with the freshest orange juice and fluffiest omelettes I've found anywhere. This is... more

this small boutique hotel (only 4 rooms) is in a league of its own. i've stayed in many, and seen a lot in san miguel. the owner has exquisite taste - it's unique, tasteful but not overdone. one feels genuinely swept into a dreamy world here: adorable staff (not invasive) - who fix you snacks middle of night should you... more

Since we arrived to San Miguel de Allende without any hotel reservation, we started to look at different hotels we previously selected on the internet. We short-listed the Casa Sierra Nevada Hotel, Casa Schuck, Casa Misha and The Oasis! After looking at the first three hotels, we were not very impressed by neither the service nor the overall decor. So... more

Sitting on the rooftop terrace , sipping on tequila, and watching the evening sun color the steeples of the churches was magical indeed. I really felt fortunate to be able to share in Nancy Hooper's vision of relaxed elegance . We took over the whole property (three rooms and one suite), and the staff made us feel like we were... more

When you enter The Oasis you are embraced by the sweet smell of Mexican flowers. There is beautiful light reflected all day long through the doors and windows, in the center patio and in the late afternoon you can see from the rooftop over a glass of wine the view of the Parroquia, the center of San Miguel and the... more

My husband and I spent our first anniversary at Oasis for two nights and it was certainly an oasis from the hustle and bustle of traveling; so much so that it was difficult to leave! We stayed in the Nomad suite which certainly felt like a dreamy time travel between Mexico and Morocco. The roomy and plush suite had plenty... more

Beautifully decorated B&B with lots of personal service, only a few minutes from the Jardin. The staff treats you as family and anticipates every need. The roof garden is wonderful and comfortable with a great view of San Miguel. The breakfasts are delicious and made to order. This really is an oasis, quiet, relaxing and luxurious. more
