I am SO enamoured with the proprieter of Casa La Gloria, Yolanda. She is such a sweet and caring innkeeper. I visited San Miguel on the weekend of the large festival on October 4 and 5th and was staying at Casa La Gloria. Yolanda, the owned of Casa la Gloria, provided excellent information about this festival, the history and art of San Miguel and also suggested some authentic and reasonable restaurants. Casa la Gloria is a beautiful house with a charm. The owner was most helpful throughout our stay. Our kids really loved the roof-top terrace with great views of San Miguel de Allende and we spent family nights by the fireplace.
