We booked suite 15 to fit the family and it was a delight to stay and enjoy the relaxed, elegant, contemporary but traditional setting. Some suites are being remodeled and it looks good. View from room is limited but nice, however you are not there to stay in the room.

Our room (#11) at La Morada was very unique. It was at the top of the hotel with a terrific skylight over the bed with a pierced metal lighting fixture hanging down in the middle of it. There was also a skylight in the bathroom and another in the small sitting area to the side of the bed. Besides skylights,... More

We stayed at La Morada at our recent trip to San Miguel de Allende. The hotel is walking distance (almost next door) to the main church. The rooms look very Mexican and the new section is great to stay and very comfortable. The only bad thing is if you don't like to hear the bells in the morning and if... More

We stay for 3 nights. Outstanding room. Beautiful loft (#5). Very beautiful rustic construction, dome like exposed brick ceiling. Bathroom with jacuzzi. Room with a balcony in the ground floor to the street. Half bathroom on ground floor. Most importantly, Jaime, at the front desk, first class service. Any and every request was met with high quality service. He arranged... More

The people and accommodations could not have been nicer at this old historic hotel. The staff was at my beck and call for any need. Stayed in a suite with a beautiful rooftop patio with a view of the entire city of San Miguel. Walking distance to fantastic food and numerous beautiful old churches. The only downside would be the... More

Is a very central hotel next to the plaza. Small lobby, but don't get fooled by its size! Second floor is actually very nice, clean and different. My rom had a view to the cathedral. The bells gave a very special touch to the stay. How many times you have the opportunity to listen to old bells? Only here!

Great location and decent accommodation (large room with balcony overlooking the street). The ringing church bells will keep you up if you are a light sleeper. There was some renovation going on in one of the rooms close by and the workmen kept at it past 10 pm. Facility is clean and well maintained. I think i agree with a... More

Excellent value one minute from the main plaza and the church. The entrance is discrete and so is the reception. The value is noticeable as you enter the second floor with nice sitting areas and airy feeling.

This hotel has two sections, one is for family and the other one only adults. The family rooms are very large, very mexican decoration. The adults only rooms are smaller but in a more private area. Once you arrive, you will be surprised by the size of the front desk, it is tiny, you might have to look twice when... More

PROS *Good location. Easy walk to many shops and restaurants, short taxi rides to others. *Friendly and helpful staff CONS *Hard mattress *No AC *Only one window (no cross ventilation) *Downtown noise -- horribly out-of-tune church bells ring a lot Probably best to stay up in the Hills, away from the center of town, even if you have to take...
