This hotel has two sections, one is for family and the other one only adults. The family rooms are very large, very mexican decoration. The adults only rooms are smaller but in a more private area. Once you arrive, you will be surprised by the size of the front desk, it is tiny, you might have to look twice when... More

PROS *Good location. Easy walk to many shops and restaurants, short taxi rides to others. *Friendly and helpful staff CONS *Hard mattress *No AC *Only one window (no cross ventilation) *Downtown noise -- horribly out-of-tune church bells ring a lot Probably best to stay up in the Hills, away from the center of town, even if you have to take... Location is perfect - right near the main square. Staff was helpful. Went on Mother's Day weekend and they had a nice charm bracelet for my wife. Family suite fit 5 of us very well. Church bells did wake me once or twice but went right back to sleep -rest of the family never heard them.

Don't rent a car- you won't need it! Steps from the main square, iconic cathedrals, and galleries and boutiques galore. Everything you would want or need from gyms to spas, or coffee shops to restaurants are at your fingertips. The hotel itself is a beautifully restored colonial mansion; we had an unbelievably huge two-floor apartment -- fireplace, living room, half... More

Very centrally located. Pleasant staff. Tastefully decorated. Ear plugs were supplied by hotel, but were not needed. Probably a room on the second floor would be better. Would stay here again if in SMA.

La Morada Hotel was an excellent base for exploring historic San Miguel de Allende. It was certainly noisy in the evenings, but fine later on. The hotel staff were friendly and very helpful. Lots of restaurants within walking distance.

I have now stayed at the hotel on 2 occasions and when I return it will be to this hotel. It is in the best location of town right off the square and the church. Warning, however, the church bells are pretty constant. They go off pretty much all of the time and you are provided with ear plugs. For... More

Recently stayed at the La Morada and booked a colonial suite. I was surprised how large the room was with many comfortable but unique features. The location of the hotel can't be beat, only steps from the main square with many surrounding shops and restaurants. The noise may be an issue for some but the hotel provides ear plugs. The... More

We stayed for just one night on our way to Mexico City. We found the facilities very clean and the staff extremely helpful and kind. We stayed there with our two little boys and my father. We got the suite that included a king bed and an extra bedroom with twin beds. We loved the authentic Mexican atmosphere and greatly... More

We had less than 24 hours to see san miguel de Allende over a weekend spent with friends and they chose this hotel. It is smack dab in the center very close to the cathedral so it made seeing the city very efficient and we could spend our time walking the city right from the moment we arrived. The hotel... More
