I stayed at Casita de las Flores on Aug 14 and 15. The atmosphere was friendly and I met other interesting travelers. The rooms were clean, comfortable and colorful. I didn´t mind the walk into the center, but if you don´t like walking it coud be a little far. more

The flower filled courtyard and comfortable spacious rooms are the highlights. Shared facilities are convenient, and really not a hindrance. The biggest problem was the organisational aspect. All sorts of stipulations were made at booking with regard to transfer of payment and timing of arrival - the latter being hard to be certain of when one is travelling in a... more

We have stayed at the casita twice. At the price they charge we certainly knew it wouldn't be able to offer some of the frills provided at more expensive establishments. Instead, clean, comfortable rooms, an attentive owner and manager, wonderful fellow travellers. The only "inconveniences" as perceived by some guests might be the two bathrooms, a shared fridge and the... more

While quite a charming set up, I wouldn't stay here again. The main problem is the location - a good 25 minute hike into town on cobblestone sidewalks which make the walk hard on the feet. Or you could walk the 3 blocks to the main road and take a taxi or bus into town. So if you are in... more

To be fair, how about: Different accommodations available at similar prices? Yes, there are a few hotels in San Miguel more or less in our price range, but they do not offer a kitchen, laundry area, or monthly rates, and they don’t always have the nicest ambiance. We never claimed to be the cheapest place in town, just a very...

The rooms were clean, decorated in bright colors with black iron accents. The bathrooms were clean and simple. Loved the private courtyard. We loved it!! more

I have stayed at the Casita de las Flores twice - once for 3 weeks and once for 2 weeks. I loved it and will always make it my first choice when traveling to San Miguel de Allende. It combines privacy with socialization because you have your own spacious room but share the patio and kitchen/dining room. There are 2... more

This is the 1st time I have sent in a review, but I promised myself I would, so here it is. We would likely not have stayed at this hotel if we had not seen the reviews here in Trip Advisor, so I agree it is a very valuable tool. Our first trip to San Miguel and this was actually... more

I spend a month in the Fall and a month in the Spring in San Miguel de Allende volunteering at a daycare center for very poor, single moms. I have stayed at Casita de las Flores for my last four trips and wouldn't consider staying anywhere else. The Casita is perfect for someone looking for charm who is on a... more

The Casita de Los Flores guest house was my favorite aspect of our trip to San Miguel. It is a healthy walk from the center of the town, in a Mexican neighborhood (as opposed to being in an expatriot neighborhood). You cannot see the Casita from the street and its high garden walls make it feel like a private little... more

They say, “Once the dust of Mexico settles in your heart, you shall always return.” Certainly, the dust of San Miguel de Allende settled in my heart well over a decade ago—and Casita de las Flores has become the home I return to when I go there. From time to time, we all experience circumstances of such synchronicity and good... more
