Having had a wonderful breakfast under the white linen parasols 18 months ago we spent week in search of this seeminly elusive hotel restaurant. My recollections were parasols, chirping birds, trees, an open courtyard and a cigar shop tucked away on the back side of the dining area. By pure luck we found it very near the largest cathedral in... More

My wife and I accidently cam upon the restaurant at the Posada Carmina Hotel while walking around the Jardin and has a wonderful and romantic dinner in their open courtyard. The orange trees were blooming so the air was fragant with the sweet smell of orange blossoms, the food was excellent and the service was very good (there were only... More

It's a great hotel, considering it's and old posada and the whole idea is to have the rural experience. The rooms are clean, kind of a small. The restaurant downstairs has delicious breakfasts (it's not included) and in the morning you have live music, great experience when you're just getting up. It's location is excellent, right by the plaza and... More

Great hotel, noise from street can be bothersome. Its a little expensive but the location does not get any better. There is a tour agency behind the hotel. You can get an atv tour, we highly recommend it! No breakfast included, no iron and no hair dryer in room. We had to ask for a hair dryer and an iron,... More

This Colonial restored house from the 18th century, with a great location only a few steps from the main square and main church. If you stay at the Posada de Carmina, you're in for treat. Great location, delicious breakfast, nice cigar store and best of all an orange tree planted right in the center of the house, ready for you... More

Posada Carmina is very conveniently located just across the street from the cathedral, right in the middle of San Miguel Allende. If you like to walk it is a great place to stay and not use the car. It is cozy and clean, but definitely not trendy. I love the old house and the patio. No pool. I would not... More

Th Posada Carmina Hotel is located across the street from the main cathedral and a block from El Jardin, the main square. It is within easy walking distance to all the important sites, restaurants, and shops so you can come back to the hotel mid-day for a rest or to freshen up if you like. The colonial hotel is surrounds... More

We had a wonderful time at this hotel.... Is very cosy and romantic ...the food excellent just wanted to have my breakfast there everyday and lunch too! We stayed in different rooms since they were very busy and found each room very well decorated and not noisy. Very clean and staff very professional! We will go back again and again..

At first glance it's a charming hotel with a nice courtyard where on nice days people can sit out for drinks and meals. The location is good as it is in the heart of old San Miguel de Allende. Unfortunately, it isn't all good. We were given Room 116 which was one of the few that had a king size... More

the quick story - super loud, food unedible, dirty rooms, no fresh towels, horrible service (but the staff was very happy and nice). Posada Carmina is a hostel, not a hotel. the details - my girlfriend and I traveled to San Miguel de Allende for New Years Eve 13/14. she is from Guadalajara and we were down there for the... More
