I've read a lot of bad reviews on this place and it made me nervous when I found out that our family had booked our vacation here. We went in April, 2015. I think weather makes a difference. Our room was very large and spacious but the brick (?) floors are hard and cold and there was no heating in... More

We booked a room at the Mirador del Frayle, and upon arriving were impressed with the view and the pleasant lobby. This impression faded pretty dramatically when we arrived at our room--it was in a dank corner of the courtyard, with barely any light, no telephone and no WiFi signal. Had the room been cheaper, we would have accepted some... More

As others have correctly noted, the hotel and grounds are well kept and quite stunning. The view of San Miguel from the grounds is amazong to say the least. The best views are from the dining room on the second floor of the hotel. take your camera to breakfast! The pool looks inviting, but be prepared for some chilly water.We... More

We stayed a cold rainy night in San Miguel. The Mirador Del Frayle Hotel was up the hill quite a distance from the town center that we came to see. The room had no heating or air conditioning. The hot water didn't work either. When we asked about it no one seemed to be able to do anything. Whin i... More

Beautiful building, great view. No free wifi in the room, only the lobby. Restaurant open for 3 hrs/day and no cafe & nowhere else close to eat. No heat whatsoever in the winter, and it gets cold at night.

Hotel is very good! Friendly staff, clean room, nice service, and good breakfast. The hotel is located on a hill overlooking the centro, which means it has great view especially at its 2nd floor restaurant but also means some distance from centro. By walking, it takes 20 minutes to get to centro and 30 minutes to get back to hotel... More

We booked this hotel sight unseen because it had rooms available over the New Year's weekend. Planned to stay 2 nights, but left after only one. The room we were shown was at a very far end of the hotel. We were shown into a windowless, musty-smelling small room with two sagging sofas and no beds. Instead of beds or... More

We first discovered this property in 2006 and we finally got to stay here in July. The hotel has changed names over the years and it is now under new management. We're the type of tourists who like to explore and get out of the downtown/busy areas, especially if you are claustrophobic. This property provides the perfect setting to enjoy... More

My husband and I had booked here with both hope and uncertainty, based on the previous reviews — and this hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. When we go back to San Miguel Allende, we will definitely stay here. The views and garden are beautiful, and for us, the location was perfect. Our standard room was far more than... More

I will start with the positive; Stunning view and the sunset is right in front. We got a nice room. Nice beds and good bathroom. But no view. I dont think many rooms have a view. Nice layout of the hotell, spanish colonial style and the hotel is spread out in several buildings. Clean Nice helpful staff, despite that they... More
