Located in a great walking location in San Miguel de Allende. Very accommodating. Rooms are a very modern design, the bathroom is to die for. Would consider this more of an adult hotel. Spa services are offered -- and I would suggest taking advantage. The hotel was a great experience.

This is a lovely boutique hotel, terrific decor and a very good restaurant, Highly recommend eating there if you are not staying in this gem. We were there between Christmas and New Year so it was more crowded than usual, the weather is good most of the year, August is the rainy month but usually short showers. Very centrally situated,... Matilda is a nice boutique hotel, but it's not worth the extremely high price. Rooms although very modernly decorated lack some basic amenities and have certain malfunctions, like an extremely noisy air conditioner.

The bar in the Hotel Matilde is relaxing and well designed in a mix of modernist and elegant. We did not find it ar all expensive except perhaps for the calamari rings at 150 pesos fir fir rings!! First time I have ever been served such a minimalist number of calamari! But the cinnamon margaritas are a real treat. Hats... More

San Miguel is one of the most glorious towns in Central America and Matilda is - without doubt - my favourite hotel in the world. 2015 marks the 5th anniversary year and the loyal and attentive staff are every bit as integral to the experience as the exceptional art collection that the hotel houses. Be sure to discover Matilda and... More

We had couples massages at the Hotel Matilda Spa. The spa is what you would expect from a nice swanky hotel. very americanized. It is very pricey considering it is in Mexico. The massage therapists were good. The spa itself really is beautiful and remarkably clean.

We had a fantastic 5 day stay at the Matilda. The entire staff was warm, friendly and polished. The room was amazing (c18), and the grounds were a nice modern oasis from the sounds of Mexico. I recently had the Natura Bissé oxygenation facial in the spa. Heavenly! My skin felt so nice and the therapist was excellent. The ambiance of the spa is peaceful and relaxing. Great experience. I would recommend the hamman (steam treatment) to start the experience.

Great place, no customer focus at all. I have stayed several times and prices are going crazy. Traditionally San Miguel has overpriced hotels but it is becoming ridiculous.
