We booked Matilda as part of an Expedia air-hotel package and were so happy we did! I am an avid TripAdvisor reader and had reviewed the many comments. I worked with the concierge Carolina prior to our stay-she assisted with dinner reservations for four nights at various restaurants and is fantastic. Overall, our family of four (two parents and two... More

My husband spent numerous hours trying to pick the perfect place for our Honeymoon. He decided on the Matilda for 3 nights after reading basically every review on various hotels. First off the staff was great, both hotel and restaurant. The gym was perfectly equipped and very clean. The rooms are very small, I could hardly hang up one jacket... More

First the Matilda has Location, Location, Location.....very easy walk to the Concha or the Jardin. This is a boutique hotel with a modern urban design and feel. We paid $367 usd for our room and booked three nights. C-7 is next to the pool area and the combination off the early morning cleaning (6am) and the late night music blasting... More

I live in San Miguel de Allende and met a lovely couple visiting from the US on their honeymoon. They had stopped by The Restaurant for a drink after the terrible experience they had at the restaurant at Hotel Mathilda. They were treated with a brand of rudeness which should not be tolerated. Please ask your general manager and owner... More

My wife and I just spent three nights at Hotel Matilda, and were blown away by the efficiency and friendliness of the staff, the stunning and beautiful modernity of this gorgeous hotel, the immaculate cleanliness everywhere, the entertaining art everywhere, the haute bar with Charlie Chaplin movies, the exceptional food, the beautiful pool, and the serene spa rooms. Located a... More

Hotel is filled with a modern art collection. Perfect for those wanting quiet sophiscated accomadations. Attentive staff. The on premise restaurant is beautilly decorated with a chandelier designed by the American designer Andrew Fisher.

A complete spa within the hotel installation. Great and brand new equipment, plus friendly staff with good preparation. The best relaxation I have ever accomplished in a spa. Even if it doesn't offer ocean side view, you don't know you are in downtown San Miguel. Will definitely come back.

Dear Abel: We’re so glad you enjoyed our spa. Many guests are surprised to find such a beautiful and well-equipped spa in our intimate hotel, but it certainly has a loyal following. Our apothecary, featuring an array of seasonal/organic ingredients that can be mixed to create personalized body scrubs, is especially popular. And we recently introduced Tata Harper products and... What to say: great check-in service, great restaurant, great rooms, great valet parking. Perhaps the only picky comment would be to het lighter desk room chairs. Although very Mexican, they can be too heavy for those of us who want to work while we party. This great hotel offers only the best. I ordered a hamburger via room service and... More

Your “great” review made our day! Our staff works hard to make sure our guests are happy with every aspect of their stay, and nothing could thrill us more than being called “The best of the best.” Thanks so much for taking the time to share your opinion on TripAdvisor. We really appreciate it, and hope you’ll be a frequent... More

The night you were our guest, we hosted the Global Party Foundation to benefit the Red Cross. While it was a truly wonderful event, and we were honored to assist such a worthy charitable cause, we are sincerely sorry that the festivities disrupted your stay. It’s an extremely rare occurrence. Most guests find our hotel to be a haven of... More
