This is a little piece of heaven is a beautiful city. I stayed here for three nights conducting training for a client. The Hotel is perfectly appointed as St Michael the Archangel stands guard everywhere. If anyone doubts that customer service is lacking in Mexico...stay here....all doubts will be erased. My contact and " go to' girl..Jessica was superb. From... More

I stayed three nights and ate several times in the restaurant. On the whole the experience was excellent. The internet in my room went off during the first day, but the management moved me to a new room and all was fine. The restaurant was mostly very good, but the menu was perhaps a bit too narrow and had few... More

Went on December and the room was freezing cold, no mirror, no chair, cold water. Great architecture though. The location is bad so there's no way to access town without a car. It's a little expensive for what it is...

It is one of the cheapest we could find in town. The room was somewhat of a letdown, specially after seeing the amazing lobby architecture. Still, it is comfortable, spacious and clean. Since it is not near downtown you definitely must have a vehicle. Walking is not an option in the highway.

I made this trip to San Miguel to have a nice weekend with my family (kids included) in San Miguel. The hotel IS NOT at walking distance from the city center, however the gardens and the big pool shown in the hotel pictures attracted my attention, I thought the kids would have a nice time. However the pool was freezing... More

I have been traveling in Mexico and Central America for over a month, mostly very sucessfully relying on TripAdvisor reviews. This was my first real failure. The location is bad. The hotel is about 5 miles from the town center with nothing much around it. Mexico uses speed bumps to control traffic in populated areas. There are several directly in... More

I stayed here for a wedding near the lake, so this was a perfect location. What a wonderful surprise to find my room, actually called a Villa, to have a good sized living room, kitchen, bedroom with balcony, and a large bath for 760 pesos. The rooms were well insulated - I didn't hear any noise from any other part... More

Quick note/disclosure before I write the full review: I did not choose to stay here but instead did so because one of my best friends was going to have his wedding here. The only real reason to go to San Miguel de Allende is to be IN San Miguel de Allende so you can step right out of your hotel... More
