My friend and I stayed for 10 days in San Miguel and truly enjoyed our stay at the Hacienda. The staff goes out of their way to make sure every request is answered. The property is truly filled with flowers and is beautiful. The rooms were good sized, and while they could have been a little cleaner, were adequate. The... more

The hotel has a lovely garden but lacked loungers. Only two for the entire hotel. The roof garden did supply a great view of the sunset. The "pool" was a joke. Maid service was so-so. Never replaced the coffee supplies. Did not even clean or replace the coffee cups. Breakfast was good but quality varied as did the coffee. Every... more

La Hacienda is just precious-preciosa! The ease at which your needs can be met or your serenity appreciated is truly special. The dining room makes you think that you are in Paris, but the breakfast is truly Mexican;mango, papaya, banana with lime(frutas) and pan dulce, fantastic chilaquiles or almost whatever you are craving! The special breakfast is heart healthy and... more

I stayed at this property the 1-8 april. The grounds are very nice and relaxing. They have a small pool, it does get a bit dirty at times though. I had room number 3 which was large, but dark. The bathroom isnt set up very well. The closet is behind the door so you have to go into bathroom, close... more

The hotel was rundown, and service was non-existant. The only redeeming quality was the location, right by the main square (jardin). The only thing the maid did was make the bed, nothing much else. They initially refused to supply utensils for the kitchen that we paided for. They eventually supplied utensils after half our 8 day stay. They really only... more

I am writing this letter to let you know how much I have enjoyed my vacation at the Hacienda de las Flores for the past 25 years. I always recommend Hacienda de las Flores to people interested in going to San Miguel. The charming hotel is located in the best part of the city and truly has the authentic Mexican... more

I spend many hours deciding where to stay in San Miguel and finally decided on this place mostly because of the pool. Well, when I got there, the pool was covered, dirty and not heated and therefore closed. My room had been changed from one I booked last May to one right beside a construction site next door. When I... more

The good news: promising layout, pretty good location, and apparently reasonable rates if you stay for several weeks, as many guests did. The bad news: way too pricey if you're only staying a week ($130 a night), and my room was so sloppily "cleaned" I found brunette hairs in the bathroom sink (I'm a redhead) the first day, second day,... more

We just returned from San Miguel, where we spent a week at Hacienda de las Flores, our fourth or fifth visit to this hotel over the years. We've stayed at many of the nicest hotels and B&B's in San Miguel, and we are convinced this is the best value for money in town. The hotel is just two blocks from... more
