It's well priced and the location is ideal. Right between Instituto Allende and the Rosewood. And it's level ground so very easy walking around. The only reason we can not go back to this hotel is the 7am classes every morning! Screaming and pounding music at 7am. Must be some kind of aerobics class but very amplified. You can actually... Although placed at short walking distance from downtown and not so over priced as most of San Miguel´s hotels, this place needs a deep renovation in rooms . Given the beautiful and huge grounds it has as well as a peaceful and intimate pool site, it could be one of the most beautiful and demanded hotels in town. Nothing to... More

Considering that the most hotels are way over priced in San Miguel, this hotel is a great value. It meets all the basics with large clean rooms, nice pool and absolutely beautiful grounds. The rates are really good. The service is ok and the restaurant is pretty good. The best part is the location which is close to everything and... More

This was our third stay at this hotel and we were to happy to find that Alvaro was still there at the registration desk. It is rare to recognize staff when you return to hotels and it speaks highly of the hotel that Alvaro is still there. We had a pleasant stay and enjoyed our rooms. They had been renovated... More

Stayed here with a Roads Scholar group and enjoyed the hotel especially the grounds. Our breakfasts were ok but the dinners (and we had 3) were mostly unedible. Also several of our group became ill and a doctor was called. The only common denominator was the hotel food. I would stay again if I were on my own and would... More

The hotel has lovely grounds including a pool and tennis court. The public areas are all attractive. The rooms are a bit old-fashioned but spacious. The mattress was a bit hard for my taste. The hotel serves an ample hot breakfast buffet. Dinners were just OK. Location is close to the center of town, but it's uphill to get there.

Was part of a group booked into this hotel by a Canadian travel company. Things that could be tweeked are: Business Centre is one computer in a very small room, often crashed, very slow. Very little English spoken at the front desk, use Google Translate English to Spanish, that works! Four out of our 14-person Cdn group got sick within... More

Just stayed there for the weekend. Location near center of city, 10-20 minute walk uphill on cobble stones. Sidewalks inexistent. Parking ample and free. Reception average, they do give you your air-conditioning and TV controls to sign for. Room large, OK. Bed OK, a little on the hard side which we love. Most of the room accessories are of poor... We spend four nights/days at this hotel in my first time at SMA and it has been an impressive experience since the first night we arrived. The rooms are ok and the food of the restaurant is very good (the breakfast was included). The hotel is very near to the main plaza (Jardín) and around the area are several restaurants... More

We recently hosted a wedding celebration in San Miguel de Allende. We chose Posada de la Aldea as the hotel to locate our friends and family from all over Mexico and the U.S. Posada de la Aldea delivered. The hotel provided very nice rooms with kingsize and double matrimonial beds, and the enjoyable breakfast was included in the price for... More
