We love Casa Carmen! We have stayed here 8 or 9 times over nearly 20 years and it never disappoints. The colonial courtyard is a classic beauty and it's just one flat block from the jardin. Best of all is the food. We always get breakfast and the midday meal included, and Betty's cooking is like staying at the home... More

This place is a real find. It's an absolutely beautiful spacious colonial building and has quiet comfortable rooms. We were delighted with the location- a safe and secure area a block from the Cathedral and found all of the staff to be kind and helpful. The breakfast was great and served in a beautiful dining room. Will definitely be back... More

My spouse and I spent 10 days in this incredible and well kept historical building, with nice patio, bougainvillea, citrus trees, and water fountain. Very nice hosts and friendly staff - it makes you feel at home. The room comes with fresh breakfast and lunch - all regional, direct from the kitchen across the dining room.

Casa Carmen is not a high end luxury accommodation. That being said, it is certainly an incredible place and for us it perfectly suited our needs. Our room was one of the larger suites, we had our own bath and the location of the room was such that virtually all noise from the bustling city center was eliminated. The room... More

We loved Casa Carmen. Great location, quaint accommodations, and friendly, excellent service. We felt at home at Casa Carmen. The tasty breakfast and lunch provided made our trip especially affordable, but restaurant dining is so close if you want a change of pace. A quick walk will put you at the jardine where everything is happening. Its proximity to the... More

In March, I attended my son's wedding and stayed at this enchanting historical place in the heart of San Miguel de Allende. The staff were so hospitable and gracious. We had both breakfast and lunch which were so delicious. My room was spacious and clean. From my room, I walked out into the spacious and beautiful court yard. I could... More

I stayed at Casa Carmen this past spring for my brothers wedding and had a wonderful experience! The B&B is beautiful and classically Spanish; there's a lovely open courtyard - with lots of flowers, fountain and lime trees - which is a nice quiet oasis to relax and visit with friends and family. The rooms were clean and comfortable, breakfast... More

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Carmen for our nephews wedding. the rooms are very clean. Breakfast was wonderful, owner was very gracious in accommodating the wedding quests. The city is fabulous, very rustic over 400 years old. Really feels like you are in a Spanish villa in Spain. the church bells added a nice touch to the feeling... More

I've been coming to San Miguel for 8 years and always stay at Casa Carmen. It's a beautiful centuries old building renovated into a Bed and Breakfast, except they serve you both fantastic breakfast and lunch. The rooms are full of charm and atmosphere (and comfort) and the staff and food is superb, as is the owner, Cynthia. I've had... More

Located in the heart of the city, Casa Carmen is a beautiful, historic building. You walk in to a lovely courtyard with a fountain. Breakfast and lunch are included, and breakfast is a full meal, not a skimpy muffin! Lunch is homemade soup with a complete, fresh and tasty meal every day (except Sunday). San Miguel can be a noisy... More
